The Chanel Show

Karl Lagerfeld is all smiles as he walks into the Chanel boutique with Blake Lively | All Images Janelle for MDC

As the world’s premier arbiter of taste, Karl Lagerfeld knows a thing or two about throwing a party and last night’s Chanel store opening in Soho was an event to remember. Those lucky enough to score an invite were treated to the sounds of Alexa Chung’s eclectic musical selections and the ambiance of the futuristic Peter Marino designed space. Sipping cocktails and star-gazing was de rigueur, but the true stars of the evening were the exquisite Chanel pieces lining the walls; guests marveled at the detailing on 2.55 bags, J12 watches and took turns marveling at those F/W fur boots before heading out Karl’s private dinner at Don Hill’s. For a glimpse of the goings on and the elegant guests check out our exclusive images from the party.

Who better to wrap things up than perennial Chanel face, Baptiste Giabiconi?

  1. The best…I can’t wait for Karl’s collection for fast fashion!!! Chanel is the pure essence of criation!!!

  2. edita looks the best. im not sure how i feel about abbey’s new hair yet; i think it will work well in editorials and perhaps add something different to shows but i dont think vs would book her for their show with that hair, she literally looks like a child now with her baby face and baby blonde hair. weird

  3. abbey actually looks good with the haircolour but i want her to have her old long natural boho hair back anyways -.-

  4. Diane Kruger is possibly the most beautiful woman on earth, Edita is gorgeous, prefer her darker hair. And Whooaa . ABBEY LEE KERSHAW: at first i just looked at the hair and was truly dissappointed, but after looking at the image different times and studying the way her new hair highlights her features… protissimo!! she looks way more high fashion/blue chip. glad she’s rid of the bob, eww. and if VS doesn’t book her it’s their loss not hers, but ultimately i agree with ^^ BOHO HAIR needs to be revived, abbey was the essential boho girl, but others i think should consider it are: Ana Beatriz Barros, Behati Prinsloo, Jessica Stam or maybe even Sasha P. Gemma Ward rocked dreadlocks for a shoot a while back, Aussie Vogue, and it looked great and Sasha looks s i m i l a r to Gemma, although less angelic and more feline i think. XX

  5. WOW Constance looks fantastic, people have always questioned her beauty but I think this picture shows what a true natural beauty she is! I preferred Abbey with longer hair and darker but the blonde does bring out her features but we’ll have to wait to see what it looks like in Editorials. I shouldn’t forget to mention Freja who looks gorgeous like she always does.

  6. Freja is gorgeous, now, always & forever
Abbey-looks not that bad, I think she knows what she was doing
    but again Beha is unforgettable!
