Picture of the day:
February 2010, 33rd street, New York, backstage at 3.1 Phillip Lim Men F/W 10.
I can’t even tell you how much fur I saw backstage this season. Some items were, I think a TEENSY bit unwearable for the average man. I found this picture in my archive of Francisco Lachowski backstage at 3.1 Phillip Lim and thought, now THIS is how fur should be done for men. Francisco himself is ridiculously popular among the model fans. He’s an interesting combination of boy (he still carries his skateboard around) and man (he has a surprisingly deep voice). He’s matured a lot in his images over the last year and a half and is definitely someone that can be in it for the long haul…

Mmmm, so moody! I can already taste the cabin air!
I’m not a big fan of his but literally speaking, this is probably the only photo of him that I’ve ever liked. It gives the contours of his face some proper attention. Great angle Betty.
If only he would be captured at this level of magnetism more often…He’s even selling the light fixtures for God’s sake!

There’s a ‘right’ way to wear fur???

Even in this unflattering light, his expressionless gaze merely serves to highlight the perfect proportion of his face and features.

…yes, there’s a right way to wear fur, so get on with it.
Nigel, I do agree totally on your perceptive comment. This is one of the best I’ve seen of monsieur Lachowski.

Amazingly rugged in fur. He wears it well. You do not notice the
