Nudist Colony

If a single color ruled F/W 10 it has got to be beige: whether the variation was taupe, ecru, cream, camel or nude, shades of beige could be found on nearly every runway. While neutrals have always been in fashion there was something unusual about the way designers kept sending monochromatic beige looks down the runway, are they just playing it safe due to the recession or have earth tones replaced black as the new fashion wardrobe? Tell us what you think of this trend and which designer made their models look the best?

  1. I love the girls at Alberta Ferretti this season. Karmen Pedaru is stunning

  2. Valentino, Stella McCartney, and Chloe, definitely stand out the most! Beautiful soft fabric draped in classic feminine shapes.

  3. Another trend that designers stole from Phoebe for Celine spring 2010 collection.

    Has anyone else noticed this????

  4. Phoebe Philo is doing a great job at Celine. That said, if any one designer has made nude their signature color, that would be Alessandro Dell’Acqua who has consistently used the shade with fabulous results. Not surprisingly, he showed it in his new No21 Collection.

From these photos, my favorite looks are from Stella McCartney.

  5. I think that nude or beige is extremley classy, put on any woman (or man for that matter). It gives a certain elegance that black can’t always grab…

    Just my thoughts.
