finally we have some info on her. saw her numero china cover several months and did a search for her, nothing came up. so happy that she’s here. another one for the Chinese models.
it’s pretty interesting how most chinese models are from north China, are there any from south china like Guangdong, Fujian, etc
anyway, happy to see her

She has an interesting face and has long, lean lines that fashion loves. And I love that Asian models are being more represented in the fashion industry. But she looks tired in all her shots! Wake up girl and get some life in those eyes!

She is Grace Gao right? she is already in MDC’s model list

She looks nice with make up, and a good bust…hmm, Majiong? Great to learn something new here. And any one that says models are not smart does not appreciate women, I have met thousands of models, and many are very smart and educated. Hats off to Chinese models! Kudos to you Grace

I like the fact that her beauty is not very oriental, for a chinese girl that is. But yes, she looks tired. I think with makeup she looks much better.

Her editorials are very nice, and she is lucky to have Numero China supporting her, hope to see her in international runway soon.

I’ve seen a lot of her editorials, she’s been working in China for a while now.
Once she is made up and her photos go through processing she is good but she is not as killer in person or in the natural as Liu Wen, Ming Xi and Fei Fei–which I feel is important in models not just tall and thin.
She reminds me of a more editorial Charlene actually.

She looks Southern-Asian to me, which I find refreshing. After so many Chinese, Korean and Japanese girls breaking it, I want to see some Thai or Vietnamese faces too. I miss the days of Navia Nguyen.

She is pretty. She really need to rest her eyes. Only 20 yrs old, but the heavy eyes makes her look older.
January 21st, 2011 at 4:44 pm
@Jackie. I think there are more Northern Chinese models than Southern because Northern Chinese people are typically taller.
January 21st, 2011 at 11:50 pm
Without her tired eyes,I think she looked great with that angular face!I agree I would like to see south eastern asians models in international scene. They’re not all comes with slanted eyes, they’re more round, skin colour varies from fair to tanned. That’s what exciting because they are full of variations and not known with a standard stereotype face!

She looks so tired in her polaroids! But she does have the right body for runway.

GRACE GUOZHI IS GREAT FEMALE MODEL FROM ASIA, BUT WHERE ARE ALL THE OTHER HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL CHINESE MALE MODELS FROM ASIA, LIKE “JASON CHANG” ??? WHY ARE SUCH PROMINENT CHINESE MODELS NOT FEATURED ON MODELS.COM ???

@styleplusplus
“I like the fact that her beauty is not very oriental, for a chinese girl that is.”
Beauty comes from every region, regardless of whether someone looks authentically “oriental” or “chinese”. Shame on you.
April 28th, 2011 at 7:10 am
Geez, calm down you ^^
It probably was not the intention of styleplusplus to insult on the model, I don’t even detect anything remotely offensive about her post. Having a rather “oriental” look myself (albeit, like Grace, I have less of that alabaster complexion)–making it Southeast-Asian then (which, indeed, I am)–the political correctness of her classification doesn’t bother me at all.

Well, most are from Northern China because the people there are generally much taller than those from the south. They eat more meat and bread because it’s colder while in the south they eat more rice and are usually shorter.
My ancestors are from southern china so I’m pretty short (midget compared to these models)

Question: why does every single model on here, male and female and ages 16-23 look the same age. There are a couple of 23 year olds who look 16 and there are a couple of 16 year olds who look 23?!?!?!
