A glacial glare and straight-from-the-surf beauty combine to give New Zealandish newcomer Jay an appeal factor that rides off the charts. Spotted by an agent from Red 11 as Jay enjoyed drinks with friends in a Christchurch bar, the agent’s persistence paid off when Jay made the journey to Auckland and signed. Since then he’s juggled his career with his university studies (he’s getting a commerce degree majoring in Finance, Commercial Law and Accounting) for the past three years. But now this part-timer is ready to get going, so the next step is sending him to Europe for the men’s shows in June/July.
