A recent addition to our favourite Brit reality tv show, The Only Way Is Essex (the UK’s answer to The Hills), Rob Mead was scouted on Facebook by booker Reaan Mans from Next London last year. This ex-soldier has put his military might into developing a fantastic body and a fierce pout that even Joey Essex would envy. Rob has worked non stop since signing with Next, being featured in Wallpaper, Esquire and Men’s Health. Rob is an Essex boy through and through, and currently working between London and Milan, is proving to be as big of a hit as Nanny Pat’s sausage plait.

I’m sure I spotted Rob Mead on M&P’s website. I’ve seen him in Mens health over a year ago too. Strange. Great guy but not not really a London model

He’s a little shorter than most of the male models now, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The facial hair works well for him, and he has great eyes!

I don’t understand why height is so important in the modeling world. I’m 5″10 and I’m way better looking then some of the models on this website but this guy does have a good look I just hope he gets some work done.

There are many fashion male and female models that aren’t necessarily ‘good looking’ to general public but are more unique looking with unusual, striking, photogenic features. Being ‘good-looking’, the girl/guy next door is more for commercial market.
Models are usually there to sell clothes which look best on guys between 6ft-6ft3, 5ft11 is acceptable but 5ft10 is pushing it. Don’t forget female models are usually between 5ft8-5ft11 and with heels are even taller so ideally you need to be taller then her.

The fact that he’s on MDC shows that he’s doing well and that 5’11 models can go far in this business too, beside half of the model out there that claim to 6’0 are usually 5’11, thats why the standard model height is 5’11 – 6’2.
