Lonneke was born on 14th of June 1981 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. When she was 13 years old, she had a chance to go work internationally as a model.
She worked for brands and magazines like Guess?, Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Italian Vogue, French Vogue and American Elle. She also had exclusive contracts for multiple years with Covergirl cosmetics and Ralph Lauren. Because of her collaboration with Ralph Lauren, people know Lonneke as the "Ralph girl". She still gets booked for Ralph Lauren, which makes it over 13 years that she has worked for the brand.
In 2009 Lonneke graduated as a "Health Counselor" after a study at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. Lonneke decided that besides her modeling work, she wanted to use all the possibilities and give advice to young girls and models regarding healthy eating habits and living well.
