Born in Sweden and raised between Sweden and Japan, Erika Kurihara began her career working in fashion design in Stockholm before moving to London and assisting Edward Enninful for a year, subsequently joining the fashion team at i-D magazine where she worked as Fashion Editor for seven years before moving freelance.
Renowned for her refined and cultivated work, with attention to detail paramount and style laced with beautifully curated pieces, Erika has worked for magazines such as i-D, i-D Japan, Purple, CR BOOK, Show Studio, Vogue and V Magazine and alongside photographers such as Nobuyoshi Araki, Hans Feurer, David Luraschi, Kacper Kasprzyk, Karim Sadli, Harry Carr and Chloe LeDrezen. Erika has also styled a number of moving image projects, working with directors such as Gaspar Noé, Kate Cox and Albert Moya.
Erika also collaborates and consults with designers across Fashion Week, with previous shows she’s worked on including Barbara Casasola, Minki, Fashion East / Ryan Lo and Mihara Yasuhiro.
