Cécile Cassel, since early childhood, has been gifted
with acting, singing and dancing. After studying acting
with La Compagnie des Sales Gosses, she made her
first appearance in La Bande du Drugstore (2002).
She evolved internationally by co-starring in Head in
the Clouds with Penelope Cruz and Charlize Theron,
and in season 5 of Sex And the City. She starred in the
British movie My Last Five Girlfriends which was
presented at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2009.
Upon meeting one of the French masters in cinema,
Eric Rohmer, he immediately cast her in Les Amours
d’Astrée et Celadon. Following the success of this film,
she continued with as Ex (directed by Fausto Brizzi), Je
Vais te Manquer (directed by Amanda Sthers), Toi, moi
et les Autres (directed by Miranda July) and Nuit Bleue
(directed by Ange Leccia).
That same year she appeared on stage to play under
Jeremie Lippmann’s direction in Le 20 Novembre at
Theatre de la Madeleine.
Cecile Cassel’s band Hollysiz has a parallel success;
performing as the opening act of Yodelice’s show in
2010 and appearing in many notable music festivals.
She records her first album: Come Back to Me (Warner
Music). She is nominated as “Best Artist to Watch” in
2014 at French Victoires de la Musique. She spend a
lot of time writing her own music and arrangements.
The result is an album of effective pop songs.
Her song Come Back to Me is incorporated as the
music for the latest BMW commercial; In September
2012, she has been choose to perform at the Chloe
60th Anniversary Celebration At Palais de Tokyo.
Since 2013, Cécile Cassel has been selected as the
new Face of Rochas fragrance, “Secret de Rochas”.
