biography

Country of origin: United States

Rodarte is the clothing line designed by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy. Strongly influenced by the Northern California landscape they grew up exploring and wandering, the Mulleavy sisters are known for their unique application of texture and proportion. Actress Natalie Portman, a close friend, recommended them as costume designers for the critically acclaimed film Black Swan. They designed seven of the ballet costumes for the movie.
