Maria Carla Rising

You’ve seen her nationwide in those oh-so “Gen Y” CK campaigns. She’s the new apple of Karl's eye, scoring the cover of Lagerfeld’s audacious Paris issue of Interview magazine, as well as opening his last Couture show and shooting the campaign for the Chanel accessories line. Add to that the Marc campaign with Jurgen Teller. Then there’s the fact that DNA’s Maria Carla’s been on a veritable editorial rampage, shooting everything from Italian Vogue with Steven Klein, Mixte with Luis Sanchis, Harper’s Bazaar with Nathaniel Goldberg and Patrick DeMarchelier and Numero with Eric Nehr. Stir that all to together and what you have is one of the new sensations of the Spring 2002 season. She’s a keeper this one!

Well Read

Though their long awaited NY, LA and San Francisco stores --as redesigned by A-list architect Rem Koolhaas-- is still not yet open, you can tide yourself over with this little token. It's the chic tome titled “Projects For Prada Part 1.” featuring a sneak preview of Koolhaas impressive plans for the stores. Walls you can shift from translucent to frosted, for total privacy? We’re so there!
