DOWN UNDERGROUND’S BIBLE

As further evidence that avant-garde fashion speaks a global language, may we present for your pleasure Oyster, the compelling fashion magazine published out of Sydney, Australia. Creative Director Malcolm Watt was in NY recently skirting his way through the essential selection of Fashion Week events gathering more fuel for his blazing young publication. Be sure to look for the Oct/Nov issue of Oyster with Marilyn's sphinx-like Caroline Ribiero reigning on the cover, at a newsstand near you.

HELMUT'S RANGE!

Laced with an almost sinister streak of sexual edge, Helmut Lang's NY show proved that there is as much eroticism in restraint as there is in release. Equally fascinating was the show's note perfect casting which ranged from such modeling legends as Ford's Stephanie Seymour and T's Tatjana Patiz to such fascinating new faces as former MODELS.com Model Of The Week, Next's Zoe Hawkins. On the subject of the show's interesting range of mannequins, Casting Director Preston Davis opined "I'm fortunate to work with Helmut on his show. I admire him because he chooses models who are right for his collection, not just because they are the superstars of the moment."
