BEAUTY IS BACK
Is the trend vocabulary when it comes to modeling stuck on "B"? First the buzz was all about Brazilians (the goddess of that wave being Gisele), then the Belgians (flagshipped by former MDC cover Anouck Lepere) followed closely by Butch, (embodied by IMG's Elenora). Now the new "B" on the block is "Beauty" with a bevy of bodacious babes poised to flood their way back onto the runways, editorials and camapigns for Fall 2002. Right on the trend button is Tom Ford's Only Girl on the Spring '02 Gucci, 1 Management's Rie. With editorials parked at Harper's Bazaar w/ Greg Kadel, Max Vadukal & Terry Tsolis, Numero and Pop w/ Mert N Mercus, French Vogue w/ Mario Testino, Italian Vogue w/ David LaChapelle, and ID again with Greg Kadel watch out for this audacious young actress to emerge as one of the key Beauty girls of the new wave. |

BUILDING COLLAGE IMG's campaign icon Angela Lindvall, has been in the midst of some major new enterprises. First there is her role as mother to a newborn son and secondly there is the launch of her magazine Collage in collaboration with painter Dustin Yellin. Until Collage is up and running, here's the next best thing, a sneak preview at http://www.collagemagazine.com/. The Collage team describe their new enterprise as follows "Collage is a catalyst for cultural change. It's an environmental survey, a scientific treatise, a literary compendium, a catalogue of art, all wrapped within compelling visual quilts." And you thought models weren't articulate! |
