How did you become interested in modeling?
I was always interested in being an actress or model especially being a Leo I love the attention and the spotlight! I did some modeling and television work when I was a kid but my parents wanted me to finish high school get a college education so that my options would be limitless for my future. Once I moved back to NY I knew that no other career choice would suffice so I began to get back into modeling.
What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I have been contacted by R&L,Satchi,The Lyons Group,and McDonald Richards.
What was your experience with them?
They were all professional and informative.
What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
The modeling industry is all about illusion. Present yourself with clean clear polaroids since agencies want to see what they're really working with. I'm a commercial print model and I have realized that agents want to see you in "bookable" images.If they're casting for a young hip mom then you better have a young hip mom picture on your card or in your book. And remember test,test,test! It keeps you fresh for the camera and gives you an opprtunity to work with talent from all different walks of life. I must also add that it is important to be realistic about being a model. Not everyone has the stats and look for fashion or commercial print.People can tell you that you should be a model but the only way to know is to go to open calls and send out your portfolio,either through MDC or through the mail.If you don't get responses immediately don't get discouraged but after a while there comes a time to realize that this field may not be for you.

I have been moving towards my acting career while continuing as a commercial print model. I recently booked a print job for Eileen Fisher and the last book cover I did "In My Bedroom" will be out in January. I'm wrapping up an indie feature film in which I play the lead character. This film will be showcased at the Toronto Film Festival and other various festivals in Europe and the US.I'll continue to work my butt off to do what I love! Nothing comes easy but with perserverence,comittment and focus everything and anything is possible!

I was contacted and have been working with R&L, I love them... I was recently contacted by Model 411, and unfortunately I went, and when they requested a 2nd interview, I got suspicious, looked them up on the net, and found MANY MANY fraud reports on them...I would love to put them out of business...

What was your experience with them?
I was in New York City last week and went to see Jeremy at SVM. It was a very positive experience.
How did you become interested in modeling?
I have always been interested in modeling, but I grew up in a very small town in South Africa and modeling was not really an option. If I wanted to do it I had to move to Cape Town and my family wasn't willing to take the risk. I came to the US in 2000 and told a friend that I have always been interested in modeling. He helped me find photographers to test with. But it wasn't until June last year that I walked into Elite Miami and tested with one of their photographers that things really started going in a direction. I am not with Elite any longer, but it has helped me.
What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
There are lots of agencies out there and you will get rejected by some of them. But when you go to see them, take some polaroids with you and look natural in them. If the polaroid looks good...

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
If anyone is really interested in modeling they must be patient and keep in good shape, because you never know when some agency is going to ask to see you.
How did you become interested in modeling?
I became interested in modeling when my brother Nelson and myself took the Modeling & career classes at E'lan Birmingham. I was still in high school and I was playing baseball, my favorite thing in life. Nelson went on to model then and has made it very well. I am 20 now and just trying to get into the field.
What was your experience with them?
I have talked to Aires modeling and Elite Atlanta. I didn't get much response from Aire, we never could get our communcation right, they lost the first set of pictures I sent and I just never sent them anoter set. Elite talked to me, I just had to shape up a little and get some new pictures made.

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
Put yourself out there! You need to keep your images updated and continue to work in the business and update your portfolio. Get advice on your pictures. You may love a picture but others may not and vice versa.
What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I am new to the business and have not been looking for an agency until now. I have been contacted by a few different people in regards to representation. I have been building my portfolio and I wanted to have a good baseboard before I even tried to get representation...
How did you become interested in modeling?
I have been interested in modeling since I was a child. My parents were against me getting into the business so my dream went onto the back burner for years. I was always being stopped and asked if I was a model or on tv? Eventually I decided that I should give it a shot. Models.com was the first step for me.

The internet is a powerful tool in world-wide modeling exposure. Models.com is on the forefront of agency exposure. I would advise for any aspiring model to give models.com a try.
How did you become interested in modeling?
I've always been interested in aesthetics from an artistic perspective, but I never thought about modeling until I was stopped at a local night club by an agent.
What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I have been contacted by Satchi NY, Request NY & Fusion NY through models.com.
What was your experience with them?
All three of the agencies have requested that I meet them in person. I'm planning a trip to NYC in the near future.
