You have your whole life to live, so why not live by what you love. I am the happiest I have ever imagined in my life right now. I love my work in Make Up Artistry, I love the people around me, I love the supportive family and friends that believe in me, and the love of my life who I get to see every waking day. I live each day learning incredible new things, and cherish every second of it. I'm doing what I love to do, and if anyone else has so much passion for what they are involved with, I hope they strive to live it out to the extreme!

How did you become interested in modeling?
My friend and I went to a scouting interview when we were both 12 years old. They wanted her for little kids adds and me for runway (that is, of course, "after you get your braces off" ). My mother and I spent the next long while over bumps and doops, learning the in's and out's of the modeling buisness. You know the story. Well, I can tell you we've both learned so many great things, and I've come so far, with life and experiences, more than I could ever imagine at this age.

I want to congratulate models.com for their site, it not only helps aspiring models with exposure, answers, feedback and opportunities, but also builds up a network of people who have the same interest and can help each other or even become friends.

How did you become interested in modeling?
Actually it was an accident, I was attending a fashion show as a spectator, and they where missing a model the designer saw me seated and asked me if I would walk on the runway and I accepted.

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
My advice is to take things the easy way and if you have a dream don't give up on it, not only in modeling but on any aspect of your life.

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
Well for starters learn about the industry. Read some books and watch some videos. Search around for the best photographers even if you have to travel a bit to shoot with one. Find photographers that know the industry. Some of the better ones do work with agencies and that could open some doors for you. Keep switching out your pictures. The more photos you take the better they get. Take the time to write emails, make phone calls, send out comp cards, find out what is going on locally in your area and attend fashion shows, hair shows etc. Stick with it and learn that rejection is part of the game. The more I get rejected the more it fuels my desire to prove to the people that rejected me that they made a mistake. Many well-known models were rejected by one agency only to become a supermodel with the agency next door. Finally always smile, be polite and be open to constructive criticism. Most of all be patient.

How did you become interested in modeling?
When I was nine years old, my dad introduced me to someone who was a model. I used to look through all her books and found it interesting. Believe it or not, I set up my own appointment to go to Glamour Shots to have my pictures taken. As I got older and taller, everyone would tell me I should become a model. I started putting my portfolio together and attended John Robert Powers for runway training. I entered the Elite Model Look 2003 contest in Atlanta as was chosen as one of the regional finalist. I then won a VH1 Fashion show competition, which opened some doors for me.

What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I send out my portfolio to all of them in the New York and Miami area. I was contacted by SVM in New York about a month ago.

What was your experience with the agencies?
I did fly up to meet with them and we are still in talks. Remember I am only 14 and still have school to attend. They stay in constant contact with me, however I am not under contract as of yet.

With a little help from Elaine Irwin-Mellencamp, I took a trip to NY and met with FORD, ELITE, IMG and Wilhelmina however all told me I was too young for NY and to work locally for a year or two then return back to New York.

I continue to do photo shoots with great photographers. I am always sending out emails and talking to people in the industry.

I recently spent some time in Miami hoping to do some work there, but my sights are set on New York. I will eventually get there. I want to be an editorial model and do runway work.

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
The advice I would have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by REQUEST, or any other agency for that matter, is to be creative, varied and unique. Dare to include that unusual shot in your portfolio that reveals a facet of your personality. Be creative and make your portfolio stand out by submitting various pictures in unique poses including black and white photography. Make modeling your passion and let your ability to model shine through the photographs that will give the agents their initial introduction to the next super model of the new millenium.

How did you become interested in modeling?
I became interested in modeling at a very young age. When I was small, my Mom used to be a hostess at a fancy restaurant in Manhattan. She used to wear fancy clothes to greet the customers. I imagined myself as her exclusive fashioner designer and pretended to be her agent as well. As I got older, I happened to glance at a fashion magazine that lay on the coffee table. I was surprised to see that modeling wasn't just for women and that men could strut their stuff on a cat walk and wear beautiful clothes. From that point on, modeling became my passion and main focus in life.

What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
The REQUEST Modeling Agency has been in contact with me via email and they "requested" additional and better photographs of me!!!! Needless to say, I was very excited and I hope the end result is positive.

Models.com is a great resource for beginning models to learn the ropes. . . It inspired me to get back into modeling after an eight year break. I now have three agencies that I work out of. Ford in Chicago, Docherty in Cleveland & Pittsburg, and Centro Models in St. Louis. YAY MDC!!!!!!!!

How did you become interested in modeling?
I have always loved fashion and have had magazine subscriptions since I was 13 yrs. old. I was approached on the street in Seattle, WA when I was 14 or 15 and asked to shoot with a photographer for this male model who was getting pics for his book. That's how it all started.

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
You should have Polaroids of yourself that resemble those in the Model of the Week profiles. If you look good in Polaroids you've pretty much got your foot in the door....also have the height and measurements!!!

Models.com is an excellent way to meet people, chat about the bizz and contact agencies worldwide. It is also a great way to find out about scams that exist within the agency. I have learned a lot since I have been a member.

How did you become interested in modeling?
I always looked through the editorials in magazines and looked at them as a beautiful art form and wanted to at least try to be a part of it. And, a hairdresser really encouraged me to pursue it further. I moved to NYC to try this, and I am really happy to be here.

What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I have been contacted by several agencies and photographers. I have met some really nice members too, who are so thrilled to share information and hints on how to approach the business.

What was your experience with them?
Everyone has been really nice, and I am getting to test with some great photographers for free!

What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
Keep it simple, and polaroids are always good because they like to see what you look without fancy clothes and make-up.

Modeling is such a competitive field, but if you are passionate about it, you should be willing to find out as much information as possible so you are educated within the field. There is a lot to learn, and don't be scared to ask questions. If someone is interested in you, you should be able to ask as many questions as possible without any pressure. I have heard everything, and it has not stopped me at all, and something very important to remember is that modeling is very subjective. Don't be scared off by rude comments that you might here from someone. There are very nice people out there to help, and patience is the key. For some people, it happens overnight. For others, it's more of a struggle, but don't give up. Stick with the people who are most excited about your look. There are plenty of nice, professional agencies in New York City. You should go with the agency that you feel comfortable with and the one who is most excited about you.
