Tim Coppens Fall/Winter 2012

For his second season, the rising menswear designer Tim Coppens continued his push forward with a futuristic take on sportswear classics that was sophisticated and sharp with a sly playfulness. Leather patches and padding toughened up a series of modernist coats and jackets, and the collection made a strong case for burgundy and khaki as colors of the season. Coppens’ vision for the future of menswear came through clearly—the look was clean and sleek with a powerful edge—and he proved himself to be top on the list of young New York designers to watch.

The clothes are too stiff feeling. As a guy, I’m not sure who would really wear this stuff.
