Peter Som S/S 2015
Florals? For spring?! Peter Som took on the expected spring staple and made it feel fresh by adding a bit of graphic frenzy to the mix. Pop Art is always an appealing source of inspiration and Som took on the era’s penchant for a print by giving his flowers a Warhol factory feel complete with grid-like repetition. Flowers weren’t the only story on Som’s runway, the designer mixed things up with a mix of high-tech textures from glossy white transparent, to metallics that mimicked liquid gold. When paired with the pastel python numbers and flat sandals that combined the best of Birkenstocks and oxfords, the look was casual, feminine and undeniably fun. Som girls are going to have a hard time choosing just what to buy when it comes time for these delightful pieces to hit the shops.
