Jill Stuart Fall/Winter 2013

When a designer looks to Stella Tennant for inspiration you know you’re in for a runway treat. For fall Jill Stuart thought of what Tennant and her pals might wear for a night on the town, which led to a series of romantic suits, flirty cocktail dresses topped off with inky black capes and shapely coats tailored to perfection. Ironically, while the androgynous Stella served as muse, the best looks in Stuart’s lengthy show focused on ultra-feminine detailing like ruffles, lace and the occasional bow. The designs were served up with flirty precision on a pitch perfect cast of models, all of whom looked darling in Stuart’s girly-chic wares.
