5 Years of Lim
Posted by stephan | December 12th, 2010

In October designer Phillip Lim celebrated the 5th Anniversary of his 3.1 Phillip Lim line with a one of a kind show at Beijing’s Dong Bian Men Watchtower in the Forbidden City Wall. As one of the only designers to ever have the privilege to show in this storied location, Lim cements his status as a trailblazer for his generation. The anniversary celebration, which included a spectacular party at Lane Crawford and a screening of Lim’s 4 x 3.1 film series, was a unique milestone for the designer, whose family hails from the region. MDC takes you behind the scenes of the show with a look at the special casting by Daniel and preparation leading up to this landmark affair.
