Have you wondered how Run D.M.C., layered with Mexican folk singers, with a touch of Tito Puente sounds like?? Welcome Ozomatli, the best band that I've heard recently from L.A.
Multi cultural: Afro-Cuban / Hip-Hop / Ska / Jazz / Funk / Dub are all put in a blender by these great musicians, and it all makes sense. Give credit where credit is due!! To Ozomatli which by the way is the name of the Aztec God of Dance.

Canned beer and Summer afternoons sitting around being nostalgic. It's R.R.R. (Rock and Roll in the Raw). No overdubs in this album guys, as it was recorded LIVE.
Just remember, R.R.R. at it's finest!!

Tricky, Brian Eno, Bjork to name a few, has collaborated with this guy. If you enjoyed their music, just remember Howie B had a great deal to do with that enjoyment.
Trip-Hop? Ambient? Drums & Bass? Funk? Labeling this experience is next to impossible. Just put it on and enjoy the sensory journey!

Bad ass DJs work at samples, Hip-Hop on the D.L. (down low). Underground Hip-Hop is still the best!. No Puff Daddy please. Credibility and intelligence with a lot of artistic talent.
