Blush.jpg   Another cool trick I learned from my French girlfriends is the application of blush. Yes ladies, blush is back. Since the beach is almost four hours away by train you can't always get that tan you need, so just use blush. Being a style editor since my graduation from college I have been lucky enough to get tons of free makeup. And frankly, most of the blushes sit at the bottom of my makeup case. But not any longer. As in the 80's, blush gives you the right amount of color. Two soft strokes of the brush let's you appear to have a tan without all those self tanning creams. My favorite of the moment is Nars/ Passion. Men on the street have actually complemented my tan. I mean,...I have only been to the beach once this summer in the South of France, yet, I say thank you as I laugh to myself, and think it's just blush.
For those of you who are still tanning, or just have dry skin. Here's a little secret I have learned from my girlfriends who have kids. Instead of using lotions with all these fragrances that might harm your skin (in my case they all irritated my skin and made me itch) or, let's say, you can't always afford a $15.00 bottle of Moistrel, just go for that trust-fund-greasy-model look and apply Vaseline regularly.
I would love to hear from you about the latest books you have been reading, skin care tips, or questions you have about life. E-mail me at charlotte@models.com.(And don't forget to drink lots of water).

Peace
