Superb!

Vogue Turkey’s November cover gives supermodels Eva Herzigova, Naomi Campbell & Claudia Schiffer a chance to shine. Photographed by Cuneyt Akeroglu the three stunning models look gorgeous in pure black turtlenecks and minimal makeup. In the previews from the accompanying editorial, Naomi and Claudia show off their sexy with see through lace gowns, while a simple grey background serves to compliment Eva’s classic black and white look.

Magda Magnifique!

June 4th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Magdalena Frackowiak has always been an intriguing presence in editorials, displaying versatility and changing effortlessly to suit the mood of each portrait. On her latest covers Magdalena delivers elegance in two very different scenarios. On the cover of Vogue Turkey Magdalena exudes sensuality with a come hither stare in a shot by David Bellemere as she sports a floral a Dolce & Gabbana bikini. The sumptuous shot is appealing and perfect for summer. On Vogue China Collections Magdalena ushers in the best of the fall shows with a simple shot by Patrick Demarchelier (taken from her equally chic story in Vogue China) that presents her at her most regal.

Angel Rising

February 25th, 2014 |Posted by Matthew

The Ancient Greeks looked to their gods as idols of strength and beauty, values they praised above all else. In a couple thousand years, those qualities still define our icons, especially in fashion. Thus, with a titanic clash of modernity and ancient mythology, Vogue Turkey brings us its “Modern Goddess,” Doutzen Kroes, on three covers for March 2014. Cuneyt Akeroglu photographs and fashion editor Konca Aykan styles as this Victoria’s Secret Angel ascends to Olympian heights, showcasing her athletic figure and gorgeous face. In Spring looks by LanvinVionnet, Jenny Packham, and more, Doutzen is equal parts Diana the Huntress and Helen of Troy, asserting the timelessness of the modern woman.

Twice As Nice

January 8th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

With two major covers the luminous Emily DiDonato is in the midst of a major fashion moment. Fronting Vogue Paris‘ February model themed issue in a beauty shot by David Sims (Art Partner) is no small feat, but add in an ethereal January cover of Vogue Turkey by Terry Tsiolis‘ and you have a stellar back to back lineup.

Sparkle

November 26th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Karmen Pedaru shines in the pages of Vogue Turkey in a stylized shoot from Cuneyt Akeroglu. The December issue kicks the holiday cheer off early with a glittering feature styled by Konca Aykan. Sporting bleached brows and crimson lips created by Lisa Eldridge, Karmen is a glamorous and at times otherworldly muse. In contrast to the sleek cover and high gloss editorial, the simple black and white shots accompanying Pedaru’s interview offer another take on one of fashion’s most wanted beauties.

Seeing Spots

May 30th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

When Haider Ackermann filled his S/S13 runway with transparent creations emblazoned with black and white dots, it seemed like an unusual move. Polka dots are a fashion standard dating back years, but the diminutive patterns are more often associated with the prim styles of the 1950s than with the kinds of cutting-edge wares favored on Paris’ runways. The designer so known for his innovative use of lush, saturated color was showing another side, taking one of the most uncool of motifs and making it feel new.

In keeping with the current craze for all things graphic, stylists have embraced the versatility of these simple circles, working Ackermann’s creations into a variety of editorials. On occasion the interpretations don’t veer too far from the runway approach (fashion abides by the ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ mantra whenever it can) but the excitement comes when the spots are complimented by clashing patterns to create a dynamic visual treat. Whether it is layering in another of Ackermann’s prints from S/S or adding a bold kimono for interest, the real fun lies in the mix which offers stylists an opportunity to show their creativity.

Anja In Bloom

March 26th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Prepare for a double dose of Anja Rubik in the latest issue of Vogue Turkey. Cuneyt Akeroglu shows two very different sides of the blonde beauty in dual stories for Vogue. For the newsstand cover and accompanying editorial, Akeroglu plays up Rubik’s skill for posing with studio portraits that highlight her timeless beauty and a well edited selection of dramatic spring looks – most notably that intricately embroidered Balmain dress on the cover. For Anja’s interview and the subscribers cover the focus is all about nature and sweetness, with Anja laying in a bed of flowers and looking fresh as a daisy; both sets of images provide an elegant showcase for one of the most versatile models in the business.
