It is hard to think of a model more innately chic than Natasha Poly and when you look at her latest work it’s easy to see why the Russian beauty is fashion’s go-to girl for glamour. On Luigi & Iango slick cover for October’s Vogue Germany Natasha is a vision in smoky eyeshadow and nude lips by Virginia Young (London: D + V Management , New York: D + V Management). The seductive editorial showcases Natasha at her most alluring, especially when she’s wearing little more than a wide brimmed hat ad a come hither stare.

In the pages of Vogue Paris Natasha heads in a completely different direction via an enchanting story with her daughter Aleksandra. Shot by Mario Testino (Art Partner) and featuring two generations of Poly pretty the cover celebrates Natasha’s new chapter as muse & mother. Though it might be a little too early to pick the Prada opener of S/S 2035 we can already see where the adorable Aleksandra could easily follow in the footsteps of her model mom; she’s already landed a Vogue cover and a space in Testino’s star-studded towel series before even learning how to walk.

Mamma Mia

Some editorials feel as though they’re offering a glimpse inside the private lives of their subjects, revealing hints of their personalities via a candid approach that provides a welcome change from the typical fashion story. Benny Horne creates exactly such an editorial in the pages of Vogue Germany with partner Julia Stegner – Horne’s intimate imagery showcases Steger at her most serene whether she’s playing with her beloved dog, or simply lounging around the house. With her classic good looks and ease in front of the camera, Stegner has long been one of fashion’s go to girls, but she’s never looked more beautiful than in Horne’s sensual and lovingly crafted nudes.

Sebastian Kim and Katie Mossman get abstract for Vogue Germany with a wild fashion story that looks to art for inspiration. From Jackson Pollock’s drip paintings to Willem de Kooning’s abstract figures, the editorial takes on abstract expressionism’s masters with a series of elegantly styled portraits starring Drake Burnette. The impressive set design by Kadu Lennox and the creative selection of painterly pieces from the season’s collections – including PradaChloe and Altuzarra – take this colorful story to that next level.
