Behati in Paradise

March 26th, 2014 |Posted by Matthew

Ah, to be Behati Prinsloo. During a recent spot on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the 24-year-old Namibian beauty joked about the misfortune of supermodels like herself who must travel to exotic and glamourous locations, like a little placed called St. Barths. Fulfilling the demands of her career, naturally, Behati jets to the beaches of Tulum in her latest editorial for Vogue Espana. Shot by Greg Kadel, the Victoria’s Secret Angel romps about in a more natural state, relaxing in Havana Laffitte’s summer-ready looks and flashing more than a few joyful grins.

Shayk Shack

October 21st, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

When a model crosses over from the sexy market to the editorial pages the end result is always a compelling mix of high fashion gravitas and red, hot sensuality. Irina Shayk has always handled both sides of the business admirably and since her Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele styled Vogue debut back in 2012 she’s been on a roll. With her latest work Irina ups the ante;  snagging the first Vogue cover of her career. Irina shines in Giampaolo Sgura‘s classically minded shot for the November issue of Vogue Espana. Naturally that isn’t the only place you’ll find her this month – open up the latest VMan to see the Russian beauty quicken pulses in Sebastian Faena‘s sensual story, or glimpse inside Bazaar to see Irina star Carine Roitfeld’s modern day take on Romeo & Juliet.

Modern Mix

September 6th, 2013 |Posted by models.com

For anyone who thought it was impossible to look masculine yet feminine, or perhaps vibrant yet neutral, think again. Stylist Ondine Azoulay shows us that this is in fact possible. Dutch beauty Marte Mei van Haaster models these modern looks shot by photographer Paola Kudacki in the striking editorial below for Vogue Espana’s latest September issue.

Hot N’ Steamy

July 22nd, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

As the heatwave sweeps throughout the city Greg Kadel perfectly encapsulates the scorching hot days of summer with a sensual story in the latest Vogue Espana. Most people would wilt beneath the heat and humidity, but Karmen Pedaru maintains her aloofly sexy persona even when clad in F/W’s decorative furs fresh off the runway. The eclectic mix of luxury fashions and barely there bikinis selected by Havana Laffitte adds a touch of carnality to even the most demure catwalk pieces. Celine’s plaid laundry bag inspired prints and Burberry’s glossy boleros take on a whole new aura thanks to Laffitte’s styling.

Double Vision : Alexander Wang

November 15th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

As fashion’s current king of downtown cool, Alexander Wang has perfected a look that is both eye-catching and easy going. It isn’t unusual to see Wang’s wares popping up in fashion glossies month after month, but it is interesting to see how his look is interpreted by a variety of talents. One of last season’s most memorable and popular Wang pieces was the fishnet turtleneck, a statement item that adds a touch a mystery to any ensemble. Most stylists didn’t stray too far from the runway vision of this particular look, but every so often the versatility of this staple was showcased via a well-timed change of pace. With the addition of the equally ubiquitous Jil Sander pink overcoat, or a bit of menswear inspired Paul & Joe, the mood shifts completely. That said, the Wang turtleneck looks just as good all by itself, revealing a touch of come-hither skin or adding another layer of sexy to a pop star’s daring repertoire.
