Th exhuberant feel of the resort collections is brought to life via a special story for Vogue Aus’s 55th Anniversary issue. Clad in Chanel on this special collectors cover, Lindsey looks resplendent as she’s shot amidst a sea corn husks, not unlike those of her native Wichita, Kansas. Senior fashion editor, Christine Centenera styles Lindsey in a mix of key looks from Miu Miu, Céline and Rochas to create a story that mixes the beauty of nature with the very best of high fashion.

The Return

November 10th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Everyone loves a comeback story and this year no comeback has been more talked about, or hotly debated as Gemma Ward. Since resurfacing on the Prada runway during fashion month Gemma has been hard at work and the first of her high profile covers is Vogue Australia. Her hometown glossy has featured her on the cover several times before, but this issue marks Vogue Australia’s 55th anniversary and they celebrate with a bang. Emma Summerton shoots Gemma in cool blue tones, while visual effects team Animal Logic (the minds behind the effects in The Lego Movie, Happy Feet and The Great Gatsby) give the cover a surrealist touch. Inside Gemma’s sister, Sophie interviews her for a special feature in what is guaranteed to be an issue filled with excitement.

The Amanda Show

August 27th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Nothing like an old school glamour girl to set hearts racing and get photographers inspired. At the moment the exquisite Amanda Wellsh is exactly that girl and her steady stream of only girl editorials in top tier publications shows exactly why she’s so in demand. Whether she’s channelling Béatrice Dalle in Vogue Paris, or taking it back to the swinging sixties for Vogue Australia, Amanda is always the right choice. No wonder photographers like Glen Luchford (Art Partner), Benny Horne, Sebastian Kim (Management + Artists) and Ezra Petronio can’t get enough.

LV Overload!

August 26th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

If there is one collection that is getting editorial love this September it is Nicolas Ghesquière’s debut for Louis Vuitton. While LVMH is generally no slouch in the editorial department, Ghesquire’s work has gone that extra mile – appearing on the cover of or within the pages of almost every single September issue thus far. For fans of the designer’s work the constant sight of logo printed belts and playful dresses has been an appealing constant thread amidst the past few months of editorials and covers, but how much is too much? Take a look at the line’s recent front page appearances and decide. Stylists show no signs of slowing down with their Vuitton obsession so you can expect to see the iconic luxury label rack up even more covers as the month winds down.

September’s model domination of magazine covers continues with a stellar showing from down under. Vogue Australia’s simple and effortless image is a testament to less is more – when you have an incredible model, great photographers and a choice piece from Nicolas Ghesquière‘s Louis Vuitton collection you need nothing more.

Serene Escape

June 16th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

It may be winter down under, but Will Davidson creates a tropical fantasy for the new issue of Vogue Australia. Amanda Wellsh plays the part of elegant castaway in a selection of looks chosen by Christine Centenera. Heading off he beaten path in Dior and Chloe might not be practical in real life, but the cinematic scope of Davidson’s imagery makes the concept seem ideal. Even when grasping a walking stick, or wading through the ocean waves on the back of a horse Amanda never loses her glamorous edge.

Winter Is Coming…

May 16th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

It might be summer stateside, but down under they’re heading into winter and the season inspires a beautiful June cover for Vogue Australia. Benny Horne shoots Emily DiDonato on the slopes and in the sauna wearing pieces from Céline, Chanel and Wolford chosen by fashion editor Christine Centenera to create an effortlessly sexy look that Emily pulls off perfectly. The editorial is an appealing cold weather romp, but it’s the regal cover that showcases Emily’s beauty at its best.

Natural Wonder

April 16th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Sometimes the simplest styles are the very best and in Will Davidson‘s refined story for Vogue Australia, senior fashion editor Christine Centenera creates a pared down look set against a woodland backdrop. Crista Cober‘s lush beauty comes to the forefront as she sports minimal styles from Stella McCartney, Hermès, Céline and Josh Goot. Working with a palette of neutrals and easy going separates like transparent button-down shirts or menswear influenced overcoats Centenera creates a modern wardrobe fit for everywoman. Combining these basic pieces with the serene natural setting and Davidson’s dreamy photographic style shows that even the most uncomplicated look can imbue the wearer with a powerful allure.

Added bonus: Davidson does double duty within the issue shooting this editorial and the impressive cover story of seminal Aussie pop diva, Kylie Minogue who he captures in a grand, romantic style.
