Craig’s List Reloaded

May 18th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Even more McDean goodness for all to enjoy! Karlie Kloss, Amanda Laine, Sigrid Agren, Imogen Morris-Clarke, Dorothea Barth Jorgensen, Viktoriya Sasonkina, Nimue Smit and many more band together for W. Last week we previewed Sigrid’s portion of the story but there is plenty more where that came from. Since no fashion story is complete without a touch of drama, rumor has it that a good portion of the the cast of this showstopper was left on the cutting room floor. Which models would you have liked to have seen ala McDean?

January 13th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Vogue US continues its editorial revamp with the aide of three Steven Meisel favorites. Karlie Kloss, Viktoriya Sosonkina and Katrin Thormann each make their Vogue US debut looking about as elegant and sultry as we’ve ever seen them. Leave it to Meisel to tap into the womanly side of these spirited newcomers.

Form & Function

January 8th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Vogue Italia‘s agenda for 09 is simple – innovate, influence and inspire. Steven Meisel’s elegantly minimalist editorial ‘Form Function’ pairs the seasons most inventive silhouettes with the groundbreaking architecture of Zaha Hadid. While the model selection may be pristine – cover girls Anna Selezneva, Viktoriya Sosonkina and Anna Jagodzinska are magnetic, while Natasha Poly, Sessilee Lopez, Kinga Rajzak, Nimue Smit & Karlie Kloss all look stunning within the editorial – the story is truly about clothing as an artform. The juxtaposition between the lines of a Chloe dress and the curved panels of Hadid’s Chanel Mobile art pavilion shows us that impressive design knows no boundaries.

Prada Panache

December 19th, 2008 |Posted by Janelle

Prada keeps on evolving. Last season’s campaign with industry standards Linda Evangelista and Patrick Petitjean was all about mature refinement but for S/S 09 the brand shifts gears towards a youthful interpretation of luxury. Enlisting the season’s most prominent fresh faces to portray an elegantly coiffed series of sirens makes for an inspiring visual. Viktoriya Sosonkina, Toni Garrn, Ymre Stiekema, Katrin Thormann, Nimue Smit, Sigrid Agren and Giedre Dukauskaite represent everything Prada stands for. Drawing inspiration from ancient stone reliefs and classical art Meisel creates an enthralling vision. With the first picture giving us just a taste of what is to come, we cannot wait to see what else the maestro has up his sleeves.
