There is nothing like a pleasant surprise to get the season started right. The September issue of V comes with a staggering special supplement that focuses on the cerebral beauties at Women & Supreme Management management. The lengthy portfolio by  Paul Rowland re-imagines 19 of the industry’s most captivating faces as pagans – complete with flowers, insects, slabs of serrated flesh and of course, blood. The end result is raw, hypnotic and about a thousand times more interesting than most of the covers we’ve seen this September. The face of fashion is changing. Ideas about what is considered fashionable, chic and classic are opening up to include people of all races and it is about time. Case in point the latest ads for Ralph Lauren, the king of the preppy chic look feature Japanese model Tao Okamoto‘s pristine image as the signature face of the brand. Joining the ranks of beauties like Ubah Hassan and Valentina Zeliaeva, Tao looks pitch perfect and adds a bit of edge to the image of the Lauren girl.
