Haute Tension

Creativity is on display in Numero China with Txema Yeste‘s striking cover story starring Guinevere Van Seenus. The arresting images show Yeste at his best and convey a message that is at once alluring and off-kilter. Each picture makes you pay close attention to the details; from Tim Lim‘s unorthodox styling, Tamara Mcnaughton‘s abstract hair creations, to painterly makeup by Tyron Machhausen. In this editorial Guinevere proves yet again why she’s the go to model for photographers looking to push their images into the realm of art and her dramatic poses combined with the contributions of each team member to create a story with visual punch.

Sofia Sanchez and Mauro Mongiello create a distorted world for Numero China. Tao Okamoto stars in the duo’s chapeau centric story, wearing in a series of outlandish looks by stylist Tim Lim; bold prints and strong colors by Missoni and Prada play a major part in the story as does a retro 70s vibe that adds to the off kilter feel.
