First Look : BON

August 22nd, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Bon Magazine returns for fall with a full slate of fashion showcased via sleek editorial content. Though the issue is focused on the subject of excess, things never veer off-course into unadulterated consumerism, instead we’re given a chic series of stories that provide just the right amount of decadence. The stunning Jacquetta Wheeler returns on dual covers in head to toe Balmain, but the extravagant fashion is balanced by natural setting and stripped down photography style. Inside beautiful new stories starring Kel MarkeyMyla DalbesioMagda Laguinge, Grace MaharyTatiana Cotliar and Maud Welzen run the gamut from avant garde explorations of the season’s minimal wares to striking black and white images shot on the streets of New York.

First Look : TUSH

August 29th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

The creative mix of content in Tush is always appealing, but the eclectic glossy’s latest issue raises the bar with a series of striking new editorials. The diverse nature of the stories is part of their appeal and inside you’ll find a tribute to famed fashion illustrator, Antonio Lopez, a dark trip through the season’s gothic gowns and a stunning look at some truly inventive headgear.

Oyster Bar

April 5th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

Oyster‘s latest issue has music on the mind and as always the magazine marches to the beat of its own drum. The smiley face rhinestones attached to Anais Pouliot‘s forehead on the cover, get you ready for an issue that makes you grin from cover to cover. Whether it is actress / musician / Balenciaga muse Charlotte Gainsbourg posing for photos on the floor of her living room, or Tatiana Cotliar as a screaming Beatles fan, the imagery is upbeat, beautiful and perfectly suited to the musical theme.

The issue is an absolute must have, but don’t take our word for it – have a peek inside and see for yourself.

An editorial that shocks us out of our jaded fashion malaise with some truly incredible imagery. Merging the latest designs from Prada and Lanvin with over the top gems from Dior and Alexis Bittar, all hidden within a mass of natural wonders; leaves, branches, flowers, foilage combined to create art for the New York Times Magazine. Lynn Yeager‘s accompanying article is an engaging read as well – be sure to check it out.

Prada S/S takes the striped and marcel waved look from the collection and translates it into stylized ads shot by Steven Meisel; Kinga Rajzak and Zuzanna Bijoch, shine in the first images released.

Effortless

October 5th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Tati Cotliar takes to the pages of Numero with a subtly chic story by Nathaniel Goldberg; the Argentinian beauty brings her laid back style to each picture and looks at home in the autumnal themed images. Samuel Francois‘ soft styling serves to enhance the dreamy and carefree mood of the editorial and all those cozy knits and little jackets look just right on Tati.

Northern Exposure

August 30th, 2010 |Posted by contributor

Sweden, the land of clear eyed beauties and annoyingly complicated to build furniture has a new visual treat on its shelves. Intermission Magazine just launched its second issue and it is hapnadsvackande (quite amazing). Featured are tantalizing interviews with Vogue Paris art director, Johan Svensson; designer Isabel Marant, Victoire de Castellane, Acne’s Jonny Johannsson and of course the requisite exquisite editorials with girl of the moment Tatiana Cotliar, Mark Cox, Christian Brylle, Hanne Gaby Odiele and many more. Check out both new covers here and no need to take out your Swedish dictionaries; the Intermission team has kindly put all the interviews in English at the back of the issue! (Story by Michael N)

Pick Intemission up at Colette and Opening Ceremony.
