Tanga Moreau does cowgirl chic for Vogue Russia; Terry Tsiolis shoots the blonde beauty in western inspired looks from Chanel and Ralph Lauren and Tanga looks as radiant as ever. Do you love the western trend or do you think this story would be better off without all those black hats?

Wilderness Retreat

June 7th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Steven Meisel and Marie-Amelie Sauve take readers into dystopian territory with a daring editorial for Vogue Italia. Eva Herzigova, Tanga Moreau, Cole Mohr, Yuri Pleskun, Will Lewis, Eliza Cummings, Berthold Rothas and Valerija Kelava, star as a set of wilderness survivalists dressed for a worst case scenario. The engaging story presents a unique take on pre-fall’s luxury, with some of the most exquisite designer clothes styled to look like tattered rags, Marie-Amelie’s talent as a stylist is once again on display and so is Pat McGrath‘s skill with a makeup brush. Meisel’s versatility shines through as well; think of how different this is from last month’s VI glamour fest.

Variety Show

January 22nd, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Sometimes inspired casting can make a story, case in point Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadins latest editorial in Vogue Paris. The mammoth story is half studio shoot / half travelogue and features a host of talented models; the Morocco shots are all about Freja, Lara & Dree, but the indoor photos have Vogue Paris familiars Isabeli Fontana, Raquel Zimmermann and Naomi Campbell working those dynamic poses. Newcomers Anna de Rijk and Martin Cohn also make strong showings within the story and there is even a special appearance by comeback kids Talisa Soto and Tanga Moreau.

Tanga Moreau was one of the most unforgettable faces of the 90s and 00s, fashion fans may remember her staring back at them from ads for Ralph Lauren, Versus and Jil Sander and now the beauty returns in the latest issue of Vogue Paris. In the story shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and styled by Camilla Nickerson, Tanga looks as strong and distinctive as she did when she first came on the scene. 2010 is shaping up to be a year that reenergizes fashion and the return of striking girls like Tanga is a sure sign that things are changing for the better.
