Twentieth Century Girl

January 14th, 2016 |Posted by steven.yatsko

The inimitable Julia Nobis takes many forms, this time it’s the modern Edwardian woman for Interview Magazine. Photographed looking extra smart by Christian MacDonald who captures the decade-jumping pairings devised by Karl Templer with a combined sophisticated ease. For beauty, it’s a polished affair, aside from the casual coif undone. The rest is haut monde history…

Self-Centered

June 24th, 2015 |Posted by Irene Ojo-Felix

Interview Magazine explores the vanity of the self with their latest editorial. Saskia de Brauw has all eyes on her as she’s captured by Mikael Jansson using selfie sticks to take in every bit of looks from Balenciaga, Dior, Alexander Wang, and Maison Martin Margiela. Setting the avant-garde wares, styled by Karl Templer, amongst the deadwood forest scenery, the imagery shows the meeting of the technically created and the natural landscape. In outfits like these, we can’t blame de Brauw of being a little narcissistic.

December 3rd, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

In the world of Jason Wu every night provides another opportunity for fine dining and supermodel filled revelry. For the designer’s Spring 2015 campaign, Wu continues his epic pairings of top model and top restaurant with sleek Inez & Vinoodh shots of Karlie Kloss in the legendary Grand Central Oyster Bar. The chic campaign art directed by Patrick Li juxtaposes an ultra-sexy Wu clad Karlie, with the Oyster Bar’s famous counter and Grand Central’s Beaux-Arts architecture. Amazing Grace

November 12th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

With her delicate features and bright blue eyes, Grace Hartzel is one of the prettiest models to grace the pages of fashion glossies of late, but don’t let the doll-like beauty fool you Grace is a force to be reckoned with. Over the past few months Grace has been steadily racking up a slew of impressive editorials, working with some of fashion’s coolest publications and best photographers. With three editorials in a row in Vogue Paris, a chic only-girl story in the latest Interview Magazine and compelling shots in British Vogue all eyes are on Grace. Coming off the heels of an impressive season (and exclusive) season is an accomplishment, but following it up with editorial after editorial of quality is what makes a model a star.

Tattoo You

July 29th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Sølve Sundsbø.
George Cortina.
Daria Strokous.
Vogue Japan

Fashion’s current queen of austerity is transformed into a tattooed femme fatale by the talented Shay Ashual and Lisa Butler. The film noir styling by George Cortina, coupled with a wild array of body art creates a unique new look for Ms. Strokous, while Sundsbø’s dramatic photography style provides a showcase for her posing talents. The stylized shoot offers a welcome change of pace from the usual vintage inspired edit, all while adding a hard edge to one of fashion’s most delicate beauties.
