Off Kilter

April 14th, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

METAL Magazine no. 33 resides at a frequency somewhere between installation art and the fashion image, deliberately acting off-kilter in its latest issue. Metal’s Spring/Summer issue has still-lifes dueling with oft midway moments that serve up a slate of fresh talent and makers. The cover story features a banged Stina Rapp Wastenson photographed by Mari Sarai. Check out the exclusive preview before the issue is out!

Well-Suited

March 12th, 2015 |Posted by Irene Ojo-Felix

Inspired by the independent thinkers of the world, Suited Magazine’s inaugural issue champions the free spirits in the fashion industry that stand to make a change in how we consume our content. With crisp, black and white photography capturing subjects from Street Etiquette’s Joshua Kissi and Travis Gumbs, who use fashion as a topic starter for cultural events to Steven Cox & Daniel Silver for Duckie Brown and their boundary-pushing, offbeat menswear collections, Suited stands as a great example of individuality and self-expression. The whole issue, cast by Julia Samersova, is exemplified in the fashion story with South Sudanese models, Nykhor Paul, Atong Ajork, Mari Malek, & Mari Agory who use their fashion platform to inspire peace in their home country. Well-suited indeed.

Spring into Spring

March 5th, 2015 |Posted by jonathanshia

The march of the March issues is just around the corner, but American upstart menswear magazine Essential Homme gets a head start with their February/March issue, out now with a striking Hugh Dancy on the cover shot by Kevin Sinclair (See Management) and styled by editor Terry Lu. The issue marks the changing of the seasons as we spring into spring, with a celebration of orange—which makes a case for color of the moment on Ian Sharp—and a wealth of new takes on denim as worn by RJ King. Humberto Leon & Carol Lim of Opening Ceremony and Kenzo fame take the spotlight, as does chill wave singer Twin Shadow, who also DJed the magazine’s blowout bash during New York Fashion Week. Russell Giardina shows off the new direction Michael Maccari is taking at Perry Ellis, while Markus Ziegler captures the season’s nautical theme in a feature styled by Adrian Manuel. Amid all the upbeat cheer, Philipp Bierbaum and Laurie Harding offer a darker look in a collections feature photographed by Marco Falcetta and styled by Rebecca Baglini, focusing on the edgier edges of the months to come.

Office

December 8th, 2014 |Posted by holly

Great teams create great content, so when Creative director/Fashion Editor, Simon Rasmussen (BRIDGE Artists), Bergdorf Goodman’s creative director Jesper Damsgaard Lund, and makeup artist Zenia Jaeger came together to create brand new magazine, “Office,” our interest was piqued.

You will see some familiar names in the pages of the magazine (Jason Kibbler, Dario Catellani, Julia Noni, Marcelo Krasilcic, and Asger Carlsen to name a few) but you’ll also find some not-so-recognizable faces. According to the magazine, they’ve “enlisted a couple rappers, some artists and musicians, a convicted felon, a few party people, two carpenters, a DJ, a handful of strangers we spotted on the street, and a crew of our favorite stylists, designers and photographers to share their stories and contribute new work.”

Check out our exclusive preview of the magazine below and take note that Office will be available on newsstands this week. We highly recommend picking up a copy!

The Ranger

August 20th, 2014 |Posted by jonathanshia

The summer season is ending and fall is ramping up, a time for new clothes, new trends, and new ideas. Out Magazine kicks off the more serious half of the year with a rich new editorial focusing on animal conservation that pays tribute to Peter Beard and his iconic images of African wildlife. Shot on location in an exotic animal reserve in Northern Florida, industry veteran Kevin Rice plays the rugged adventurer, communing with giraffes, zebras, and lemurs in the new season’s sturdiest and sharpest outerwear. Shot by Blair Getz Mezibov (Visual Artist UK ) with styling by Grant Woolhead (Jed Root) and grooming by Carolina Dali (See Management), the story puts gorgeous images to a good cause, a look ahead, we hope, of what’s to come. Take a look at an exclusive preview for Models.com below.
