Richard Bush for Document

September 18th, 2014 |Posted by models.com

Richard Bush never fails to bring creativity to a project and in the pages of Document Journal the master photographer goes digital with a combination editorial and film starring some of the best models of the moment in collaboration with Viva London.

Stella Tennant, Codie Young, Olympia Campbell, Edie Campbell, Lena Hardt, Jessica Clark, Misha Hart, Kati Nescher, Rianne von Rompaey, Vanessa Axente, Eleonora Baumann, Christina Carey, Imaan Hammam, Linn Arvidsson, and Jean Campbell feature in Bush’s stellar mix of high end fashions and high tech eccentricity. With Sarah Richardson working her magic with layers of wild pieces from luxe labels like Louis Vuitton and vintage Pierre Cardin with gym class staples like Fila and Y-3. The combination works and creates an athletic chic look completely in line with current craze for all things sporty.

Document Based

September 4th, 2014 |Posted by models.com

Why have just one great cover when you can have six? Document Journal‘s F/W 2014 covers feature this season’s mega-models including Saskia de Brauw, Daria Werbowy, Stella Tennant, Raquel Zimmermann, Binx Walton, and Edie Campbell. The variety of this season’s covers show how the photographers & teams brought their own unique spirit to the table. Each cover stands alone, but artistry serves as a unifying theme bringing the diverse covers under the same creative umbrella. Contemporary art star Richard Prince shoots Daria Werbowy against an abstract canvas backdrop, while sculptor Isa Genzken reimagines Stella Tennant as a living work of art. Document’s impressive slate of photographers unleashed their creative side as well with Collier Schorr offering a studied portrait of a paint accented Saskia de Brauw. Roe Ethridge transforms it girl Binx Walton into a modern day Eve – complete with creeping serpent, while Richard Bush taps into Edie Campbell‘s reserves of cool with a Vuitton clad shot. Last but not least, hair stylist du jour Guido Palau collaborates with Fabien Baron for a special cover taking the versatile Raquel Zimmermann and capturing in an austere fashion that is both slick and stripped down.

We love each and every new cover of Document and can’t even pick a favorite… can you?

Hey Baby

May 15th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Is there anyone who looks more at home on Vogue cover than Arizona Muse? Without fail Arizona finds herself on the cover of multiple editions of Vogue each year and this month she thrills in new work that showcase her versatility and ease in front of the camera. Vogue Russia‘s tantalizing Richard Bush shot is a summery and sequined take on modern dressing as styled by Sarah Richardson, with a devilish smile and a shock of bright orange shadow courtesy of Kirstin Piggott Arizona delights. The accompanying story ‘Come On Baby’ is an expressive take on new wave style complete with square bangles and custom latex pieces from House of Harlot.

Queen Cara

November 20th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Cara Delevingne.

Sarah Richardson.
i-D Magazine

Fashion’s current queen of all media grabs her scepter and poses up a storm in the pages of i-D. With an Elizabethan meets avant-garde theme (very Vivienne Westwood) and a wild array of new fashion, the cover and accompanying story are an off-kilter take on tradition. With Cara set to take Hollywood by storm (the Brit beauty has two films slated for 2014) it is great to see images that put her flair for drama to good use.

Anja Works It

June 18th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

The spotlight is on Anja Rubik on the latest cover of Vogue Russia. The beautiful Ms. Rubik rocks tight curls and fiery red lips looking more fierce than ever before. Shot by Richard Bush, the striking supermodel works the camera from all angles in a fashionable Medusa-inspired cover shoot. Inside the magazine Rubik looks flawless in the editorial that accompanies the stunning cover.

A Doll’s Life

September 26th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Abbey Lee Kershaw is a living doll in Richard Bush‘s charming story for i-D Magazine. Sporting long bleach blonde locks and oversized accessories, Abbey is somewhere between Barbie and a Blythe doll. The mod styling by Sarah Richardson and whimsical false lashes by give this story a 60s feel that is right in line with Abbey’s vintage chic look and otherworldly appeal. Divine Inspiration

August 10th, 2011 |Posted by Betty

One of MDC’s favorite Russian beauties smolders in Lanvin on the September Vogue Russia cover by the incomparable Hedi Slimane. Part go go dancer, part vixen, Natasha Poly and her sinuous form divinely shows off Sarah Richardson‘s pitch perfect futuristic styling. Jimmy Paul‘s tresses and Wendy Rowe‘s rockstar makeup provide the final unconventional touch for this electric fall editorial.
