McQueen’s Majesty

Alexander McQueen‘s seasonal ads always push the boundary between art and commerce and for spring the brand enters new territory with a David Sims helmed campaign featuring Karolin Wolter. Sarah Burton‘s spring collection was heavily influenced by Japanese culture and that vibe is subtlety reinforced in Sims’ imagery. The red lips and pencil thin brows worn with aplomb by Wolter provide an added touch of retro-drama to the already striking photos.

McQueen’s Majesty

March 6th, 2012 |Posted by models.com

On the eve of the McQueen show, there isn’t a single designer more buzzed about than Sarah Burton. The romantic yet avant garde look she has crafted for the house have kept the brand going and more than lived up to the legacy of the late Lee Alexander McQueen himself. Interview goes in depth with the typically press shy Ms. Burton via a dialogue with another famous Sarah, actress Sarah Jessica Parker. The must read article is accompanied by some truly gorgeous images shot by Fabien Baron and David Burton, styled by Karl Templer, that capture the essence of all McQueen is about.
