Alexander McQueen‘s seasonal ads always push the boundary between art and commerce and for spring the brand enters new territory with a David Sims helmed campaign featuring Karolin Wolter. Sarah Burton‘s spring collection was heavily influenced by Japanese culture and that vibe is subtlety reinforced in Sims’ imagery. The red lips and pencil thin brows worn with aplomb by Wolter provide an added touch of retro-drama to the already striking photos.
