Sam Rollinson is Tranquil in T Magazine

September 1st, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

T Magazine China enlists an always-in-mode Sam Rollinson as their September covergirl. Tranquil day lit scenes in modern fall wares set the mood photographed unposed by Yelena Yemchuk. Styled by Woo Wu, Sam acts as the perfect city sophisticate, serene in fresh black and cream silhouettes, all kept casual in white sneakers.  Makeup artist Mathias van Hooff goes the way of simple matte skin, while Sam’s shock of tousled hair by Raphael Salley adds a single layer of disorder to complete composure.

Bare Essentials

June 8th, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

For Russh magazine’s summer issue “Just As You Are” beauty is stripped down it its bare essentials: “Everyone agrees real beauty is the point where you decide to go with what you’ve got,” opens Editor in Chief Jess Blanch. Who better to encapsulate the mag’s motif than Sam Rollinson who naturally gleams on the cover simply photographed by Ward Ivan Rafik. Nastya Sten works gold and purple glitter paint ever so slightly in the beauty story also shot by Rafik with makeup artfully applied in shapes by Stevie Huynh with slick wettish hair by Brian Buenaventura. A second beauty story (this is the beauty issue after all) by James Nelson and Makeup artist Victoria Baron takes a more modest approach with simple rouge accents on lovely Eilika Meckbach. Have a look at the exclusive preview below and see the entire issue on stands June 11th.

For the latest issue of Vogue Turkey photographers Sean and Seng take cover girl Sam Rollinson sightseeing in dreamland. The inside story, through the photo-duo’s signature wistful and dreamy perspective, features the Brit beautified by natural half-light in Margate, a seaside British town in Thanet; of which the painter JMW Turner remarked, “the skies over Thanet are the loveliest in all Europe”. That silken light serves up a sublime ambience for Sam in spring couture styled by Konca Aykan and posh hair and makeup provided by Cyndia Harvey and Lotten Holmqvist. Check out the exclusive preview of the spread below and the cover here.

First Look: Centrefold Issue 10

April 8th, 2014 |Posted by Matthew

When Centrefold Magazine debuted in 2003, the large format glossy was one of a new breed of A2-sized magazines on newsstands. Since then, that market has grown and the team at Centrefold has observed, like the rest of us, the rise of citizen photography and the advent of the smart phone. Thus, for Issue 10, Centrefold commissioned 9 diverse photographers to shoot editorials using only the Nokia Lumia 1020 smart phone. The results are compiled in the upcoming issue, which features a captivating array of content shot all over the world by Tung Walsh, Damon Baker, Eric Guillemain, and many more. Exploring the Beyond—Issue 10’s theme—Centrefold embraces the ever-present smart phone with 5 stunning covers featuring Zuzanna Bijoch, Eliza Cummings, Lily McMenamy, Sam Rollinson and Marcelle Pallais.
