Porter Magazine has always featured intelligent fashion commentary and effortlessly beautiful editorials, so for the magazine’s 1 year anniversary they had to do things bigger and better. Supermodel Natalia Vodianova fronts the spring 2015 issue in a seasonally appropriate shot by Ryan McGinley. Surrounded by crimson leaves and sporting an ethereal ensemble by Valentino Natalia looks radiant, but she’s more than just a pretty face. Inside Natalia talks about her rise from poverty to international fame and  and the passion projects that have enriched her life. Though each of the accompanying photos by McGinley are lovely Natalia’s soulful and daring spirit are what makes his profile truly fascinating.

PORTER’s Editor-in-Chief, Lucy Yeomans, selected Vodianova to embody the magazine’s commitment to showcasing inspiring women, saying  “When I look back at PORTER’s first year, what stands out for me the most is just how many incredible women from around the world, like Natalia, have graced our pages. From activists to authors, songwriters to supermodels, tech pioneers to theatre impresarios; it is these women’s unique stories that have defined our magazine’s very particular DNA – about women, by women and for women.”

At the moment the exquisite Amanda Wellsh is exactly that girl and her steady stream of only girl editorials in top tier publications shows exactly why she’s so in demand. Whether she’s channelling Béatrice Dalle in Vogue Paris, or taking it back to the swinging sixties for Vogue Australia, Amanda is always the right choice. No wonder photographers like Glen Luchford (Art Partner), Benny Horne, Sebastian Kim (Management + Artists) and Ezra Petronio can’t get enough.

Days of Heaven

Standing out on a crowded newsstand is difficult, but Porter Magazine has proven itself a formidable presence. Each issue brings forth compelling new content and the latest is no exception. The summer edition is filled with beautiful editorials, but the standout is Norman Jean Roy‘s ‘Days of Heaven’ story featuring Malaika Firth. Roy’s atmospheric photos have a quality draws the viewer in and the picturesque backdrop with its soaring mountain peaks is nothing short of breathtaking. As always Malaika is radiant in all her shots, but Roy brings out her best capturing her as a sophisticated and mature woman.

Seeing good travel editorial is like taking a well deserved vacation and no one is better at capturing that atmospheric vibe than photographer, Tom Craig. In the latest edition of Porter Magazine (subscribe here), Craig transports Angela Lindvall to the markets of Marrakech in an elegant story that capitalizes on Lindvall’s timeless beauty and the sumptuous surroundings. Whether she’s walking though the desert in Alexander McQueen or striking a pose in a Lanvin caftan Lindvall projects a debonair chic that makes every image pop. Porter Preview

What better way to unleash a new magazine than to enlist the world’s biggest supermodel and two of photography’s superstars. Porter Magazine‘s first issue hits newsstands with a gorgeous new Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shoot starring Gisele Bundchen. Never ones to do things by halves, the Net-A-Porter team begins their first print venture with an issue centered around the creativity and intelligence of great women.
