On A Wim

August 22nd, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Peter Lindbergh pays tribute to director Wim Wenders’ classic, Wings of Desire with a dreamy black and white story in Numero starring Daphne Groeneveld and actor Pascal Greggory. This isn’t the first time Lindbergh has referenced Wenders fashion fans may remember his 93′ Bazaar editorial featuring Amber Valletta, as an angel watching over Manhattan. We like to think of the Numero feature as a continuation of that story, with Daphne taking on the role of angel with aplomb.

If Looks Could Kill

Peter Lindbergh brings his masterful touch to the pages of American Vogue with an elegant story featuring Lara Stone, Frida Gustavsson and True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård. Taking cues from 40s film noir and the unrivaled glamour of days past, Grace Coddington styles the trio in retro looks from Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler. Lara plays femme fatale in sumptuous furs and red lips, while Frida is an unaffected ingenue in mary-janes and classic gowns: which of these beauties can Mr. Skarsgård trust? No one knows for sure, but Lindbergh’s atmospheric photos keep us guessing.

Raising Arizona

January 18th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

American Vogue doesn’t miss a casting beat lately! Fresh off the heels of her YSL and Prada campaigns girl of the moment, Arizona Muse is featured prominently in a charming story by Peter Lindbergh. Minimalist sportswear styled by Tonne Goodman, the natural beauty of the Southwest and Arizona’s effortless pose; it all combines to make a lovely story. The cameo by Arizona’s adorable son, Nikko certainly doesn’t hurt things either!

Peter Lindbergh brings his film inspired aesthetic back to the pages of Vogue with beautiful editorial that looks fit for the screen. Daria Werbowy and actor David Strathairn team up, playing a photographer and a reporter turned muse in Lindbergh’s story and Grace Coddington provides the elegant styling. Every element from the picturesque desert scenery, to the colorful outfits from Versace and Prada, works beautifully.

Paying Tribute

August 19th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Boo George captures the essence of the menswear trend in a stunning editorial for LOVE; with a style that echos Peter Lindbergh‘s iconic 80s work and dapper styling courtesy of Anders Solvsten Thomsen, the story nails the look. Hannah Holman , Felix Branch and Dree Hemingway perfectly convey the androgyny the editorial requires, while adding just the right amount of individuality to their shots.

Vogue China celebrates its 5th anniversary with a stellar salute to Asian talent;  the magazine’s dual September covers feature the phenomenal cast of Liu Wen, Shu Pei, Ming Xi, Fei Fei Sun and Tao Okamoto in stunning crimson looks from Alexander Wang. The contrasting images by Peter Lindbergh & Daniel Jackson are strong, elegant and reflect the unique beauty of each girl while showing the verstaility of Wang’s designs; it is amazing how these looks go from classic to modern just with a quick change of hair and makeup.
