Rad Vision

March 27th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

Rad Hourani brings his signature style to the pages of Dress to Kill with a stark black and white story featuring an eclectic mix of fashion favorites. From power stylists Patti Wilson & Kate Lanphear, to models Herieth Paul & Elisa Sednaoui and Hollywood star Jared Leto, everyone gets the Hourani treatment. The darkly androgynous look is always alluring, but ultra-feminine faces like Herieth, Elisa and the stunning Zoe Duchnesne provide that added touch of sex appeal.

Image Adjustments

January 19th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

With top models, A-List photographers and a fresh outlook, popular brands are redefining their image just in time for campaign season.

CALVIN KLEIN JEANS
PHOTOGRAPHY Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott
STYLING Karl Templer
MODELS Arran SlyJoan SmallsLara StoneMatthew TerryMyles CrosbyToni Garrn

CK knows how to create an image filled with sex appeal and they’ve never shied away from pushing the envelope when it comes to visuals. CK Jeans’ ads are as much about the sex appeal of Lara Stone and Toni Garrn as they are about the brightly colored denim. Fabien Baron‘s creative direction keeps this M&M wet n’wild extravaganza on the sleek side, but make no mistake the line is out to turn up the heat with these shots.

TRUE RELIGION
PHOTOGRAPHY Alexi Lubomirski
STYLING Patti Wilson
MODELS Brad Kroenig, Tallulah Morton, Julia Dunstall & Alicia Rountree

Brad Kroenig as an easy rider? That’s a concept we can get behind. True Religion focuses on personality for Spring with ads themed around denim clad mavericks, wanderers and rebels. The American west plays a strong role in Alexi’s imagery as does Patti Wilson’s always inventive styling. Check out the behind the scenes video for a sense of the atmosphere on the day of the shoot.

JUICY COUTURE
PHOTOGRAPHY Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin
STYLING Melanie Ward
MODELS Anna Selezneva

Juicy has pulled in heavy hitters Inez & Vinoodh to focus on the line’s fashionable side. Does Anna S. looking chic on the streets of Los Angeles make you forget about those ubiquitous velour sweatsuits? Maybe not, but I&V will always give you a great shot of a blonde tossing her hair.

TOPSHOP
PHOTOGRAPHY Josh Olins
STYLING Kate Phelan
MODELS Lara Mullen, Magda Laguinge & Marihenny Pasible

Two sides to every young woman – the glamorous diva and the girl next door, Topshop illustrates the concept via contrasting Olins images of the campaign’s fresh faces. It is impressive how high end Topshop’s fast fashion pieces look with the right styling. If we didn’t know better we’d swear that white dress on Marihenny was Versace…

DIESEL
PHOTOGRAPHY Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott
STYLING Ludivine Poiblanc
MODELS Alison NixAshley SmithCatherine McNeilDmitriy TannerLiu WenMaria PalmPatrick Kafka & Simon Nessman

A massive robot, a dollhouse on fire, Catherine McNeil emerging from a potted plant, Diesel goes for the offbeat with their wide array of props and while we’re not sure what the overarching message behind this imagery is, but it is certainly striking.

Lacey Things

November 4th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Emma Summerton and Patti Wilson tackle the season’s lace trend with an elegant story for Vogue Italia. With Aline Weber sporting some of the season’s key pieces, the story hits all the right  notes. Look closely and you’ll see Ralph Lauren‘s infamous dragon dress (fresh from Rooney Mara‘s November Vogue cover) and Stella McCartney’s popular polka dot number and even a look from Nicola Formichetti‘s Mulgler reboot. Shot in Summerton’s frosty color palette and accented by Shay Ashual & Mathias van Hooff‘s hair and makeup magic, the images are pure fashion fantasy.

The Birds

October 27th, 2011 |Posted by models.com

Just in time for Halloween, Numero brings us an eerie editorial done in the classic Greg Kadel, black and white studio way. Stylist Patti Wilson pairs up Toni Garrn with fellow avian friends to star alongside her. While posing in looks from Balenciaga to Haider Ackermann, Toni brings life to the shoot to offset a few strangely static birds.

Sølve Sundsbø creates a dreamy world for Vogue Italia in an editorial filled with ethereal imagery and lacy outfits. Shot in New Orleans, the story features ladylike styling by Patti Wilson and a host of creative floral headdresses. Melissa Tammerijn‘s otherworldly look is perfect for these images, whether she’s lounging in a stone chair, or posing with a look of rapture, Melissa seems like something out of a fairytale.

Color Fix

August 31st, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Francois Nars shows his skills as a multi-tasker with a beautiful editorial in Vogue Nippon. The famed makeup artist shoots the story and transforms the babyfaced Anna de Rijk into a futuristic siren in the process. Nars’ frequent collaborator Lena Koro handles the brightly colored makeup, while Patti Wilson styles Anna in the now ubiquitous Miu Miu collection, the end result is a glam story with some truly inspiring looks.

The Bad Education

June 3rd, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Numero #114 Miranda Kerr from Greg Kadel Studios on Vimeo

Miranda Kerr, catholic school uniforms and an illicit affair with a nun; thanks to Numero we now know what Greg Kadel‘s fantasies are. The world Kadel creates is teeming with sexuality, religious imagery and revealing ensembles chosen by Patti Wilson. What is amazing is how different the pieces look in this story, versus how they appeared on the runway, that blue Burberry Prorsum number looks phenomenal with the addition of that Erickson Beamon necklace.

On top of everything else, there is also an accompanying video, be sure to check it out above.
