Vogue Italia’s Grand Ole Party

March 28th, 2016 |Posted by Irene Ojo-Felix

A fleeting glimpse into the new issue of Vogue Italia reveals a spectral Natalie Westling presented in the finest wares of the season. Paolo Roversi shoots in his hazy style the nymph in selected Chanel couture pieces that fray, glimmer and gleam courtesy of the skilled eye of stylist Robbie Spencer. Westling’s garnet ringlets are left purposely piecey and matched with otherworldly pale skin and a rouged pout thanks to the skilled hands of beauty team Shon and Marie Duhart respectively. Hypnotic and dazzling, the chic fashion story captivates in its simplicity as much as its charm.

Take a peek at some of the images below.

Mystical Season

January 30th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

The artistry of the season’s most talked about collections comes to the pages of  Vogue Japan in an expressive story by Paolo Roversi. Starring a trio of white-hot platinum blonde beauties and featuring several of the season’s most esoteric collections, the story provides an appealing roundup of spring’s detail oriented designs.  Maja Salamon, Ola Rudnicka and Sasha Luss feature in Roversi’s images wearing pattern heavy pieces selected by Nicoletta Santoro (New York: Management + Artists, Paris: Management + Artists) and sporting intense glares. The only thing more alluring than the girls are all those exquisite collection separates – CélinePradaMarniGivenchy and even a touch of fashion’s print master, Dries Van Noten.

Double Vision: Clear Winner

March 27th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Transparency was all over the S/S13 runways and as the season draws closer it seems fitting to explore one of its dominant trends. The house whose designs exemplified the look was VALENTINO, where designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli showed a variety of pieces that utilized transparency expertly, revealing skin but keeping the demure sophistication the brand has become known for. Whether they were dazzling with delicate embroidery, or creating a sublime showcase for the body via cutouts, the duo set the standard for diaphanous dressing.

One piece in particular took the look to its logical endpoint and dazzled with its whimsical cheekiness. The PVC trenchcoat embellished with the line’s signature rockstuds has become an editorial favorite, with stylists providing their own take on the Valentino look. The trench lends itself to a myriad of different interpretations and stylists did not disappoint, creating a variety of looks that range from sensual, to avant-garde. When a garment can go from the all out sexy of Missy Rayder‘s powerful image in Numero, to the easy cool on the back of Angela Lindvall it more than proves its versatility.
