Riccardo Tisci brings his unique vision for Givenchy to the pages of Vogue Paris with an incredible editorial by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Featuring R&B star Ciara (looking incredibly model-esque) and Givenchy regulars Simon Nessman, Paolo Roldan, Manuel Ramos, Emil Dostovic, Dafne Cejas and Jonathan Marquez, the story sizzles with its sexy and uninhibited vision.

Le Rouge et Le Noir

May 7th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

Rare is the brand that people get excited about in terms of fashion, imagery AND casting. Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci is one of those and for F/W 10, WWD gives us a preview of the campaign with one exciting and unexpected face. Lea T, a Brazilian transsexual who is his former assistant and fit model joins longtime Tisci favorites Mariacarla Boscono and Simon Nessman. Returning face Jonathan Marquez appears as well, with a pink haired Malgosia Bela and Catherine McNeil adding supermodel vavoom. Fresh faces Joan Smalls, Ming Xi , Paolo Roldan and Willy Cartier appear in their first major campaign which was styled by Carine Roitfeld and shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Casting Coup

Ajak and Lais.

Givenchy has spoken yet again and the invigorating casting choices for Fall/Winter 2010 are just as incredibly inspirational as ever for modelwatchers out there. With all the recent talk of more diversity on the runway, to fully see a a show where people of color are included (and not just 1 or 2 looks) makes for a runway that is compelling and powerful and yet somehow so natural and seamless. Givenchy led the week with 17 of their 49 looks on some of the most beautiful faces of color, past and present. The dramatic palette of red, black and white looked stunning on Chanel Iman, Joan Smalls, Rose Cordero, Lakshmi Menon, Liu Wen, Lyndsey Scott and Shu Pei. New faces Ajak, Jiang Xiao Yi, Lais Ribeiro, Ming Xi and Sosheeba Griffiths shined as well as current campaign face Eduardo Calero and Givenchy favorites Paolo Roldan and Jonathan Marquez. The surprise choices for the collection? Top Japanese model of the early 00’s (and newly platinum) Ai Tominaga and 90’s star Ling Tan.
