Plain & Simple

December 15th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Proenza Schouler mixed with Reeboks, Calvin Klein silk paired with pink Nikes? The eclectic mix of high, low, chic and sporty must mean that Olivier Rizzo is styling! Rizzo brings his one of a kind perspective to the pages of W in an editorial by frequent collaborator Willy Vanderperre. Showing of spring’s relaxed looks and a set of fashion’s most distinctive beauties, the pair crafts a subtle and subdued story with an easy going style. Tali Lennox, Lindsey Wixson, Kinga Rajzak, Iris Egbers and Victoire Maçon-Dauxerre, all look phenomenal.

Women On Top

June 28th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

The new issue of V lands on newsstands July 8th and the sexy body theme couldn’t be more evident once you look at Willy Vanderperre and Olivier Rizzo‘s ‘A Woman In Full’ editorial. Using shapely retro styling and some of the industry’s loveliest girls, Willy and Olivier turn the clock back, to the days of the hourglass figure; Karolina Kurkova, Jacquelyn Jablonski and Miranda Kerr have never looked better and the story is completely in line with fashion’s current curve obsession.

Multitasking

March 26th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Mariacarla Boscono does double duty in the latest issue of i-D, with two editorials that show off her incredible versatility. First, Willy Vanderperre casts Mariacarla as a sensual Snow White in his moody, atmospheric images, then Paola Kudacki takes her tribal with an energetic editorial. No matter the scenario, Mariacarla manages to shine – the way she transforms in these stories is exceptional. Credit of course has to be given to the stylists – the fit for a fairytale florals chosen by Olivier Rizzo and the out of this world pieces selected by Havana Laffitte, make these stories pop.

Miranda Rights

January 21st, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Miranda Kerr continues her crossover success with a brand new editorial in Vogue Russia. The babyfaced Aussie beauty shows a different side of herself to Willy Vanderperre in the charming back to nature story and with the help of Olivier Rizzo‘s bohemian styling and the free spirited mood of the images, Miranda’s look is a complete 180 from the persona she puts forth for Victoria’s Secret.

Perception Is Reality

October 21st, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Fashion naysayers may have written Miranda Kerr off as simply being an angel but the Aussie cutie is out to change a few minds with her latest ventures into high fashion. Following her very talked about turn on the Balenciaga runway, Miranda is set to appear in the brand new issue of V. Starring alongside the equally lovely Ana Beatriz Barros in Willy Vanderperre‘s vision of the postmodern pinup is a very good way to kick of an editorial resurgence and from the looks of the pictures the story itself is sure to excite. Olivier Rizzo‘s sensual yet demure pinup inspired styling is already catching our eyes.

Do you like the new high fashion Miranda or are you a fan of her more mainstream work?

White Balance

February 18th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Willy Vanderperre‘s vision of purity is clear and precise. Raquel Zimmermann and Natasha Poly are powdered and primped into elegant silhouettes for V58. Olivier Rizzo‘s ultra-feminine styling and paired with the stark imagery makes for a unique and engaging editorial. For the full story be sure to check out V on newsstands March 5th.
