La Canzone del Mare

September 2nd, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

The Dolce & Gabbana look is one of the most easily recognizable in fashion – the brand’s quintessentially Italian take on style is unmistakable. The dramatic nature of Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbanas clothing makes the duo’s wares perfect for editorial and Vogue Japan taps into the larger than life style of Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda with a seaside story as lively and colorful as anything you’ll see this month. Dalianah ArekionKinga Rajzak and Nadja Bender take to the shores of Capri wearing the couture collection as they perch on the edge of cliffs and pose on boats while looking like princesses – complete with gilded D&G crowns. Giovanna Battaglia and Anna Dello Russo take turns styling, creating a vivid portrait of Mediterranean glamour.

This time around Frida Gianinni and co. take things one step further with a campaign featuring seven top models who exemplify the modern Gucci woman. Anja Rubik, Joan Smalls, Raquel Zimmermann, Nadja Bender, Suvi Koponen, Karmen Pedaru and Natasha Poly  feature in stylized shots by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. FIRST LOOK: Scandinavia SSAW

December 16th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Last week we previewed Scandinavia SSAW Magazine‘s stunning Frida Gustavsson editorial, shot in the mountains of Norway and filled with natural beauty – that story was gorgeous but it is far from the only treat inside the issue. With a series of elegant covers featuring Scandinavian top models alongside delicate drawings of flora, the magazine sets the tone for an issue focused on eye-catching images. Whether the content skews naturalistic – as it does in Hasse Nielsen‘s cheeky ‘Nadja On A Bender’ story, or epic ala Benjamin Vnuk‘s dramatic shots of Stef Van Der Laan, each story is high quality from start to finish.

Another always-anticipated Chanel campaign has arrived. Ashleigh Good, Nadja Bender, and Dalianah Arekion are featured in an unusual yet beautiful1920’s inspired ad for Chanel Cruise 2014, photographed by none other than Karl Lagerfeld himself. Look closely and you can see Ms. Bender sporting a mustache, which has some speculating this represents Coco Chanel’s rumored affair with Salvador Dali.
