Studio Vogue

January 26th, 2015 |Posted by Janelle

No one takes a picture quite like David Sims, his vision is equal parts futuristic and classical, with a surrealist polish that makes each image stand out. Who better then to reimagine the collections editorial for Vogue Paris? With an impressive cast of top models, Sims and VP Editor in chief, Emmanuelle Alt and superstar stylist Joe McKenna (Art Partner) create an arresting showcase for the season’s key looks. Whether it is Jean Campbell displaying Junya Watanabe’s artfully sci-fi PVC dress, or current Sims muse Karolin Wolter looking effortless in Jil Sander’s luxe take on the sweatshirt, the story offers a comprehensive overview of fashion’s very best.

Tisci’s Talents

December 22nd, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

When it comes time for campaign season, Givenchy always brings something exciting to the table. Riccardo Tisci‘s mix of models and icons from the worlds of cinema and music is alway visually impactful and for spring the designer taps the Pretty Woman herself, Julia Roberts. Joining Roberts are red hot beauties Imaan Hammam, Mica Arganaraz, Alessio Pozzi and Lucia Pieroni (Los Angeles: Streeters Los Angeles, New York: Streeters New York, London: Streeters London), Tisci favorites who look elegant in Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (Art Partner)’s bike babe images styled by Katy England.

Supernormal

August 13th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (Art Partner) ditch their superglossy style in favor of the naturalistic in this picturesque story from W Magazine‘s star studded September issue. The glamour is still there (it’s hard to shoot a cast this gorgeous without infusing some glamour into the images) but the focus is on the normal, unfussy charm of t-shirts, jeans and hoodies. Led by Kate Moss the beautiful cast poses understated pieces chosen by Edward Enninful, stripped of the gowns and finery the group looks at completely at ease – more like a gathering of good friends than a group of the world’s top models. Daria Werbowy, Mariacarla Boscono, Raquel Zimmermann, Saskia de Brauw, Lara Stone, Suvi Koponen, Meghan Collison, Anna Ewers, Mica Arganaraz, Daan van der Deen, Filip Hrivnak and Steve Milatos make for a gorgeous group – especially in the shots where they’re sporting skivvies and smiles.
