Mix + Match

April 1st, 2014 |Posted by Matthew

In fashion, a little daring goes a long way. Such is the case in this artful shoot from Jamie Hawkesworth, who brings his trademark eye for stark yet striking imagery to the pages of W’s April 2014 issue. Featuring Marine Deleeuw, Ashleigh Good, Harleth Kuusik, and Linn Arvidsson, Hawkesworth’s latest demonstrates the undeniable cool of fashion-forward contrasts. Combining Phoebe Philo’s Céline brushstrokes and Raf Simons’ “Trans Dior” prints with pieces by Gucci, Max Mara, and Vera Wang, Marie-Amélie Sauvé’s dynamic styling speaks for itself.

We Are Vandals

December 5th, 2013 |Posted by victoria

A brand new bi-annual international publication— Vandals Magazine- arrives next week in Paris and we get a special sneak peak at the special portrait series, “We are Vandals” by Mathieu Vladimir Alliard featuring some of the season’s most in demand faces. The black and white series, with the concept to keep the girls as raw as possible “using no hair styling, and employing only one or two bold colors of makeup to create a ‘vandalish’ effect”, is featured here on Models.com exclusively (the issue itself is color and will have different images). The magazine, a 400 page tome, was developed in Paris, produced in New York, and designed in Barcelona, giving it a truly global air. With no ads and based solely on content, Vandals looks to be more than just your average fashion magazine. The magazine’s first issue ‘Volume 0’ will be printed in limited edition and is available on December 16th in Europe, and internationally soon after. Preorder your copy from now-December 15th, and for more from Vandals visit We Are Vandals’s website.

In the meantime, see the preview below; let us know in the comments which is your favorite portrait.

First Look : Interview Germany

October 22nd, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Take a peek inside the new Interview Germany The fashion fun starts with a stripped down cover by Juergen Teller starring model turned actress Marine Vacth who made a splash at Cannes this year with her role in François Ozon’s Jeune & Jolie. Looking beautiful and undone in Teller’s portraits, Marine proves every bit as compelling in the glossy pages as she is onscreen. Marine Deleeuw continues her reign as subtly sexy editorial queen in a stylish story by Sharif Hamza (Cadence New York) sporting jet black looks from the likes of Anthony Vaccerello and Chloe. In addition to all this inside you’ll find a stunning introduction to some of the season’s key new faces shot by Joachim Mueller RuchholtzKira Bunse‘s sleek portfolio of Calvin Klein menswear looks and tribute to fashion’s most unlikely inspiration, Bambi.
