Studio Fix

July 23rd, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Magdalena Frackowiak, never fails to deliver in editorials and her latest images in the August issue of Numero, are no exception to the rule. Greg Kadel shoots Magdelena in classic clothes selected by Brian Molloy and edgy eye makeup by Maki Ryoke. Though it is a simple studio shoot all the elements combine nicely to create a beautiful fashion story with an understated mood.

Greystoke

June 28th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

Looks like grey is the new black (again)! Lanvin‘s trio of lovelies, Magdalena Frackowiak, Mariacarla Boscono and Anja Rubik glower fiercely in gunmetal grey for Steven Meisel (read more about Lanvin’s new St. Tropez store here at WWD).  Benetton‘s casting by Michelle Lee is, as usual, divine: multi-culti with some of the freshest faces of the season. The crew, photographed by Josh Olins/styled by Clare Richardson, wears the color enhanced with silver. Hugo Boss does slate with Ben Hill and Sasha Pivovarova fronting the German brand as shot by Cedric Buchet. Looks like there’s something here for everyone in the three campaigns. What’s your favorite grey piece you’ll be picking up for fall?

In The Cut

January 19th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Dazed and Confused never lets us down in the cover department and this month’s image is perfection, pure and simple; Magdalena Frackowiak by Josh Olins in Viktor and Rolf. A singularly lovely image and a unique representation of one of the season’s most talked about collections.

Stripped Down

October 20th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Hedi Slimane is the master of the evocative black and white image. His pictures are always simple, moving and more often than not feature the beauty of a lean nude frame.  Magdalena Frackowiak is the latest model to strip down for Slimane’s lens and her series of sensual shots for Man About Town is a perfect example of Hedi at his best. The pictures are sexy without ever seeming over the top and Magdelena’s natural beauty shines through in every image.
