Eliza Cummings is back and better than ever! Fresh off a solid show season the Brit phenom is racking up editorial mileage in all the coolest magazines, gracing the pages of Dazed & Confused, Vogue China and i-D Magazine with new stories that showcase her versatility. No matter the scenario Eliza manages to exude the kind of nonchalant cool that will always be in high demand.

Edit of the Week : A Simple Plan

June 1st, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

A good story doesn’t need a lot of bells and whistles, sometimes the very best rely on tenants of simplicity. Willy Vanderperre (Paris: Management + Artists, New York: Management + Artists) creates an elegant exploration of denim in the latest Vogue Japan with a little help from master stylist George Cortina. Taking one of the most commonplace (and often boring) materials and making editorially relevant is no small feat, but Cortina pulls it off masterfully. On the backs of Marte Mei van Haaster, Katryn Kruger & Victor Nylander the pieces come alive and pared down hair and makeup by Anthony Turner and Lucia Pica add the final bit of polish to a story that feels effortless.

Four Visions

March 29th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

Unless you’ve placed yourself on a magazine ban, or been living beneath the safety of a rock, you’ve heard the murmurs about Vogue Paris losing its edge. Whether it is blog posts about lackluster covers, or tFS rumblings, it feels like everyone has an opinion on the excitement level (or lack there of) in the post Carine Roitfeld era.

While we admit to missing the sexed up, controversy courting, boundary pushing days of Mme. Roitfeld, the Emmanuelle Alt helmed VP has its high points - Wham lipsync moment non-withstanding. April’s issue features a striking beauty story by Karim Sadli, featuring Malgosia Bela reinvented by four of the top young talents in hair & makeup. Anthony Turner, Lucia Pica, Yadim & James Pecis create a series of strong, attention grabbing looks for Malgosia that showcase their creativity and modern views of what a striking editorial look can be — how’s that for excitement.

Coquettish

August 15th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Vogue Paris takes Joan Smalls and Hailey Clauson into coquettish territory in a lovely new story by Josh Olins. Wearing elegant pieces chosen by Veronique Didry, Joan and Hailey shine in polka-dots, leopard prints and a series of black berets. Looking carefree and seductive, the duo walk matching pooches through the streets and pout while lounging on the grass in Celine and David Yurman. Life is just a day in the park for these beauties and for anyone who says different, Joan has a few choice gestures for them.
