Makeup artist Lloyd Simmonds transforms both girls with vibrant colors from Yves Saint Laurent Beaute, while Marie Chaix adds the final flourishes with touches of fur and feathers. Hans Feurer‘s photography gives the entire story a high gloss finish, but both girls shine from within: if this doesn’t make you want to run out and buy makeup, we don’t know what will.

The impact of street-style bloggers on the current fashion scene is undeniable. Whether you’re following every Lookbook.nu update or watching photogs like Garance Doré and Tommy Ton make their way into the pages of Vogue, it is hard to escape the blog phenomenon. This month’s British Vogue gives a wry twist on the trend with Raymond Meier‘s colorful street-style inspired editorial starring the stunning Suvi Koponen.

At first glance these pictures definitely look like something you’d see on a fashion Tumblr. You’ve got all the tell-tale tropes; girl toting motorcycle helmet in outfit unfit for a motorcycle – check, beleaguered editor carrying not one but two seasonal it-bags – check, Anna Dello Russo approved cherry hat – check. Stylist Charlotte Pilcher has certainly done her homework and it shows. The look at me (and please take my picture) over-the-top-ness of each look mimics the trend without ever verging into parody.

It doesn’t take much to make Lily Donaldson look lovely but Jem Mitchell goes above and beyond the call of duty, with an appealing beauty story for Vogue Japan. Elegant waves by Neil Moodie, makeup in shades of pale pink by Lloyd Simmonds and some very pristine poses by Ms. Donaldson make for a gorgeous edit.

Vogue Espana‘s latest combines Malgosia Bela‘s effortless charm and a perfect red lip courtesy of Lloyd Simmonds in a series of lighthearted portraits by Greg Kadel. The clothing selected by stylist, Belen Antolin may be a glamorous mixture of high fashion labels like Vuitton and Balenciaga, but the story doesn’t take itself seriously.

Sean and Seng take Jessica Miller in new directions for Numero, enlisting the expressive Ms. Miller for a slick studio shoot that makes good use of her skill for expressive posing. Stylist Franck Benhamou dresses Jess in body conscious looks that make use of her toned physique, while Lloyd Simmonds and Franco Gobbi add high gloss hair and makeup for good measure.

Who better than Lea T, to portray a sophisticated woman of intrigue. The androgyne beauty takes to the pages of Numero in an elegant 70s style story that references the luxe look of Saint Laurent. Shot by Anthony Maule and styled by Samuel Francois, the edit features Lea clad in turbans, slinky dresses and YSL cosmetics by Lloyd Simmonds.

Ashley Smith takes to the pages of Vogue Italia looking luscious in Miles Aldridge‘s beach bunny story, styled by Cathy Kasterine. Wearing cat eye shades, itsy bitsy bikinis and a swinging 60s hair and makeup courtesy of Peter Gray and Lloyd Simmonds, Ashley looks every bit the vintage siren.

Charlotte Di Calypso is trapped at the office; Miles Aldridge casts the willowy blonde beauty as a bored corporate drone in Vogue Italia. Drowned in a sea of beige and looking aloof, Charlotte drinks from the water cooler, sorts through files and rests against the Xerox all while posing perfectly. Perhaps a little too perfect – is our heroine an idealized worker or is she simply robotic? Aldridge uses his surreal style to great effect and the flawless makeup by Lloyd Simmonds adds to the artificial feel of the pictures, as does the slick monochromatic styling by Cathy Kasterine.
