Enduringly Iconic

April 26th, 2016 |Posted by models.com

2016 marks fifty years since Hans Feurer decided to pick up a camera and it’s quite fitting that his latest editorial appears in Vogue Paris’s May issue since quite a few of his most memorable photos were shot for the Vogues. Feurer’s timeless style is instantly recognizable and it’s easy to see his influence on many of the photographers coming up through the ranks today. The story called ‘Freedom’ reflects the current trend of unpretentious styling paired with beauty and Isabeli Fontana gets the full Feurer treatment coming off as the beautiful woman she is, completely comfortable not only in her surroundings but in her own skin. To see the whole story, pick up Vogue Paris, on the newsstands now.

Rhythm and Blues

March 1st, 2016 |Posted by steven.yatsko

For the latest Numéro cover story starring Maartje Verhoef, Txema Yeste creates a flowing collision of color, glitz and rhythm. The moody editorial has Maartje garbed in extravagant dresses and gowns styled by Samuel Francois. With Txema, nothing’s ever as simple as it seems, whether it’s the complexity of light and color play or the articulated posing. That said, leave it to Dutch rarity Maartje to make it look like easy work. Here’s a preview of the editorial and see the full cover story inside the magazine.

The Ladies of Abbaye de Chaalis

November 2nd, 2015 |Posted by steven.yatsko

In Numéro‘s latest Autumn issue, Korean photographer Hong Jang Hyun photographs Soo Joo Park and Giedre Kiaulenaite in the beautiful Abbaye de Chaalis, a historic abbey near Paris. The styling by Belén Casadevall, embellished and romantic itself, is not to be out done by the ornate, distressed interior decor, awash in cool daylight. Playing off these elements, the mood is modernized by their badgirl attitude, an imagining that has the models as unruly beauties amongst the monastery setting.

Solaire

November 22nd, 2013 |Posted by victoria

Txema Yeste captures Martha Hunt with his extraordinary artistic technique in the latest issue of Numéro Magazine. Perfectly styled by Franck Benhamou, Hunt looks absolutely radiant in ‘Solaire’, along with her impeccable bone structure highlighted throughout the editorial. Also, the heavy winged eye makeup and famed feathered Gucci dress leaves us to believe there may have been some ‘Black Swan’ inspiration behind this stunning shoot.

Harley Kloss

October 3rd, 2013 |Posted by models.com

Karlie Kloss goes biker-chic in “Vive Allure” by Katja Rahlwes (Paris: Management + Artists, New York: Management + Artists) for Vogue Paris. In the sultry editorial, Kloss takes a motorcycle ride through the country, showing off her wild side in embellished denim and tribal accessories. Her signature bob looks perfectly “undone” and is paired with a smoky eye to capture the essence of the edgy shoot. Kloss doesn’t typically strike us as a Harley Davidson girl, but once again she convinces us that she can do just about anything. Chromatique

July 15th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

If there was ever a question in your mind about whether or not Jourdan Dunn and Natasha Poly ought to blessed with beauty contracts, take a look at the latest issue of Vogue Paris. Makeup artist Lloyd Simmonds transforms both girls with vibrant colors from Yves Saint Laurent Beaute, while Marie Chaix adds the final flourishes with touches of fur and feathers. Hans Feurer‘s photography gives the entire story a high gloss finish, but both girls shine from within: if this doesn’t make you want to run out and buy makeup, we don’t know what will.

Take It To The Streets!

July 15th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

The impact of street-style bloggers on the current fashion scene is undeniable. Whether you’re following every Lookbook.nu update or watching photogs like Garance Doré and Tommy Ton make their way into the pages of Vogue, it is hard to escape the blog phenomenon. This month’s British Vogue gives a wry twist on the trend with Raymond Meier‘s colorful street-style inspired editorial starring the stunning Suvi Koponen.

At first glance these pictures definitely look like something you’d see on a fashion Tumblr. You’ve got all the tell-tale tropes; girl toting motorcycle helmet in outfit unfit for a motorcycle – check, beleaguered editor carrying not one but two seasonal it-bags – check, Anna Dello Russo approved cherry hat – check. Stylist Charlotte Pilcher has certainly done her homework and it shows. The look at me (and please take my picture) over-the-top-ness of each look mimics the trend without ever verging into parody.
