Dazed Declares Independence

February 24th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Fashion thrives on reinvention on and off the runway, so when it was announced that Dazed & Confused was going seasonal it heralded a new beginning for one of the business’ most beloved magazines. The re-imagined Dazed hits newsstands on the 27th and with it comes a wealth of exciting new visual content headlined by the best and brightest talents. With film star Scarlett Johansson on the front page shot by Benjamin Alexander Huseby and sporting two very different looks the issue begins by turning expectations on their head. Presenting one of pop culture’s ultimate pinups as a tough street chick is right in line with the Dazed ethos and it sets the stage for a stellar issue. Inside you’ll find new editorial content from Ruth HogbenLachlan Bailey (New York: Management + Artists, Paris: Management + Artists), Harley WeirBen TomsRobbie Spencer and Tony Irvine (New York: Management + Artists, Paris: Management + Artists) and more. Each story offers an original take on the season’s wares, but the 50 pages of collections imagery is a special sartorial treat.

In Theory

February 6th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Olivier Theyskens takes the creative reigns of Theory‘s SS14 campaign and the end result is every bit as sophisticated as you’d imagine. Stella Tennant and Clement Chabernaud take center stage in black and white images from Lachlan Bailey (Paris: Management + Artists, New York: Management + Artists) that were shot on location in Brooklyn. With Ludivine Poiblanc (New York: Management + Artists, Paris: Management + Artists) providing styling and Christopher Simmonds art directing, the minimalist campaign portraits offer a less is more take on glamour that is right in line with Theory’s trademark elegance.

Sur les Quais

January 28th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Vogue Paris vision of French chic has always been streetwise and for the latest issue Lachlan Bailey (Paris: Management + Artists, New York: Management + Artists) and stylist, Claire Dhelens create an appealing take on denim dressing that feels completely authentic. The always gamine, Kati Nescher poses in a mix of natty sweaters, plaid scarves and distressed jeans that look easy without seeming undone. Dhelens mix of contemporary favorites like Paul & Joe, Esprit and Gerard Darel merges together so seamlessly it’s easy to believe they were simply plucked from the closet of one very cool girl.

Our personal favorite in the Tom Ford for Men Skincare lineup – the Revitalizing Concentrate, a fresh way of adding moisture via a multi-function oil that  restores dry skin to its best condition, while providing a barrier against pollution and toxins.

UPDATE YOUR BEAUTY

kevyn

Double Dose

October 22nd, 2013 |Posted by models.com

The latest work from Tokyo born beauty, Chiharu Okunugi, certainly stands out to us for all the right reasons. In Vogue China’s “Street Leather” by Lachlan Bailey (Paris: Management + Artists, New York: Management + Artists), Chiharu looks sleek and chic in glam pieces and leather ensembles, whereas in Vogue Japan’s “Destiny of Punk” we get to see an edgier side of the model. Chiharu gets a punk-rock makeover in the editorial by David Slijper, pairing together an array of rebellious clothing and accessories. Chiharu delivers consistently flawless work, and her most recent Vogue editorials prove this to be absolutely true.

Essential Supplemental

June 6th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

The little extras keep things exciting and this month W Magazine readers will find something special to enjoy when they pick up an issue.  Lachlan Bailey‘s (New York: Management + Artists, Paris: Management + Artists) stellar supplement starring Andreea Diaconu is a sight to behold. As nice as July cover star Emma Watson is, we can’t help but think that Andreea’s streamlined shot is a true star moment. The simple, evocative studio shoot is as appealing as anything you’ll see on the newsstand this month.
