Beauty Rebel

August 20th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

We love a magazine with a distinctive point of view and brand new biannual Beauty Rebel, is as distinctive as it gets. With a focus on all things beauty and the endless allure of cosmetics, stunning makeup and amazing hair, the glossy rejects overly photoshopped imagery in favor of the glamour of the 70s, 80s and even the 90s supermodel era. Who better to appear on the cover than ultimate fashion rebel, Daphne Guinness, who pays tribute to another legend, the late, great Hedy Lamarr.

Inside an array of beauty centric content from behind the scenes shots of top models, to fresh editorials featuring inventive hair and makeup is certain to delight.

A Touch of Grey

February 17th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

Grey Magazine is known for their moody black and white covers of haunting beauties, but for their latest issue they offer an appealing mix of styles on 4 very different covers. Georgia May Jagger gets the Chadwick Tyler treatment in an unexpected gritty turn, Antonia Wesseloh is sitting pretty in a shot by Ellen von Unwerth, Caterina shows off that bejeweled Prada collection in Manuela Pavesi’s cover and last but not least, Kelly Mittendorf gives avant-garde edge to Ralph Lauren’s classic designs in an image by Shiela Metzner.

Marvelously Mysterious

January 26th, 2012 |Posted by Janelle

We’ve been curious about Interview Russia since we saw that artfully done Leo DiCaprio cover and now we finally get a peek inside. Steven Pan‘s atmospheric story features Kelly Mittendorf and Patricia van der Vliet  as women of mystery in what might be the world’s poshest library. Sporting big jewels, sleek hair and bold looks from the likes of  Prada & Yves Saint Laurent, both girls look phenomenal. Pan only hints at what the secret behind the come hither looks, but we’re intrigued all the same.

Fetish Fun

October 24th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Taking the typical sexed up fetish inspired story and making it fun is no small feat, but Paola Kudacki and Kelly Mittendorf pull it off with a cute and colorful story for Vogue Japan. Armed with a whip and riding crop and clad in designs from GivenchyLouis Vuitton, Kelly makes for the most cheerful disciplinarian ever. Aurora Sansone‘s killer styling elevates the story, making even the most  severe jet black pieces look flirty.

New Sensations

July 7th, 2011 |Posted by Janelle

Classic Steven Meisel imagery reigns in the new Vogue Italia, with a spirited story featuring a few VI newcomers. Juliane Grüner graces the cover and is joined inside by Josephine Skriver, Emily Baker, Fei Fei Sun, Anais Pouliot, Kelly Mittendorf and Antonia Wesseloh in a good ol’ fashioned studio edit styled by Karl Templer. With Pat McGrath handling makeup and Guido Palau crafting coiffures, the entire affair is stunning from start to finish.
