First Look: Philosophy Magazine No. 3

April 17th, 2014 |Posted by Matthew

One great benefit of fashion’s international presence is the strong cultural diversity that influences the industry on a global scale. Designers, models, photographers, and magazines all hail from different backgrounds, contributing to a shared fashion identity that’s unlike many other industries. Though all eyes are typically fixed on New York, Paris, London, and Milan, it is important to recognize the various worlds from which talents emerge. Doing just that has been the mission of Hungary’s Philosophy Magazine, headquartered in Budapest, for over a year. With Issue No. 3 just in time for Spring/Summer 2014, the Philosophy team has dedicated its third digital edition to “Talent,” a tribute to the emerging artists who’ve helped to assemble the magazine so far. Photographer Bojana Tatarska shot F/W ’14 newcomer Alisa Ahmann for a surreal cover shoot, and Melodie Jeng captured Hungarian models Kate Kondas and Bogi Safran at home in New York and Paris. Elsewhere the issue features Timea Pampuk posing with works by Hungarian artist Kyan Smith and an entire spread dedicated to new works by Budapest art photographer Bence Bakonyi. Take a look at all Philosophy’s Talent has to offer below and at philosophy-magazine.com.

A full set of Hungarian models, photographers and artists is featured within the pages of inaugural issue, which looks at a well-rounded mix of disciplines, while maintaining its fashion cred.
